@@TexasBestBarndominium you are correct. They do answer. I have tried on a few occasions to get an appointment setup to do some talking about possibilities. They tell me. We will have someone call you. That’s been three times. I’ll try again tomorrow also

Unfortunately they can't do that for three reasons: The owner's privacy, fluctuating material costs, and location. The price of some of the materials has literally quadrupled in the past couple years so in 6 months, the cost to build might be completely different. These videos are basically out there forever. No reason to give a price that is always in flux. The location of the build can also impact the price. What if you need additional permits, or longer gas/electric lines, or a septic tank, or fire suppression sprinklers? Those can all change the price. If you want to know the cost of building, go to their site, email them or call them. I would love to know the cost but people ask on every video and they're never going to be able to answer that question.

@@PaxPixie I'm not asking for a detailed list. It's a simple as saying this home as in the structure itself, at this time, with current materials was 360k. Not asking for property, permits, or anything else. I mean I have bought couple of homes throughout my life and I never asked how much for zoning, permits, or cost of materials. All I know is that I paid for a structure, with what I wanted, in the area I wanted. It's not that complicated.

If they give a number then they'll get people calling saying I want that exact house in xyz area and they will be given a different price due to multiple factors and then the person flies off the handle and says "They lied about the price! Don't go to them they tell you it's one price in their videos and it was completely different when I called." and now TBC is trying to do damage control when just because there are idiots that don't understand the subtleties of quoting a complicated project like a custom built home. If you want to know pricing... Call them. It's that simple. They're not hiding it from people. They're just not advertising. If you look at traditional builders they give a "Starting at $XXX,XXX" or a range so even the non-custom builders don't give a price. Why would a custom builder? It's a custom build. The price of one home is never going to be the same as another... Because it's custom.

@@PaxPixie You are making waaaay more than it is. They are here to get exposure and promote their product, so what else would they expect? I could care less about them talking about it. Actually, I don't care to watch their entire videos. I don't need an explanation, I like many others here would like "estimation". I buy/sell classic cars as a hobby. For example, when people have asked me how much does something like this cost I give them a very rough estimate - 40k? 60k? 80k?. Nobody has ever took anything literally unless they were serious buyers. Same thing here could be done here - "This build was somewhere around 250-260k" and then just state that prices vary... thats it! The keyword is "custom" - nobody buying custom is expecting a fixed price.

I agree but looks like a metal roof don't know if that makes a difference.

@@lizregan1949 It still collects a TON of heat energy. The inside is likely very insulated but why make the house work harder?

@@axios640 That's the best solution, IMO. You still get the dark look and physically block all that radiant heat energy from baking your home.

Two answers:: You have to reach out to them to get an estimate and No, they stated in the video "100 mile radius of Red Oak Texas.". It's basically the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas.

@@jacobb6451 … if that is so, it could have been roughed in to be finished later. As it is, a guest will have to walk the length of the house to get a bath.

If you are using Texas Best, call their office and see who they recommend. In one of their older videos, I remember Josh sitting with a woman from a specific bank, who detailed how to get financing. Good luck

We are using our credit union. It’s classified as a custom home not a barndo. It’s a construction loan then once the home is completed, it will then turn into a conventional loan.

Thank you we live in Delaware. It's been a challenge.
