Catching wild black soldier fly for the eggs is alternatif way to get the eggs to start the colony at our farm, purchasing is not easy in several country because no seller there.
catching wild black soldier fly is potential in several place like poultry, final waste disposal, traditioanl market, or at our environment at home. tropical place is potential to get the wild black soldier fly.
make some attractant, female will come and lay their eggs there, be careful the eggs scattered out of our attractant / wooden block, check all around our attractant.

You have been an inspiration to me about the Black soldier flies. I started a project of the same about a month ago by watching and implementing all your tutorials. I have also successfully managed to establish my colony unto pupa stage but unfortunately my flies are dying immediately after pupation. Please help if you have any clue why are they dying?

I also am in a tropical area. I have made 3 BSF TRAPS and hope for a good outcome. The only problem is there are many birds here.😯

I am in Texas and have attracted some BSF and they have laid a few eggs but I do not see the large egg clusters. It is almost like they lay a few eggs in one spot and a few eggs in another spot. Perhaps I need to build a fly cage and grow out all the pupae in the cage. Thank you for your videos!

thanks for d video. d Temp is below 20c and and d weather has been hazy. I set attractants in d last 2 days no bsf laid eggs and d bsf are abound in d area. it's only housefly dt perched on my attractants. pls help me out.
