Once I learned about TMS/MindBody, my pain went from the "8" range, down to a 2-3 within HOURS. That was August 26th, 2022. Getting down from the "3" range took several months. I've experienced an entire month of 0-1, and that is where I live now. (Shout out to Dan Buglio!) I know that 0 happens when I am living my life to the fullest. Any uptick correlates perfectly with fear, stress, isolation, etc. So, it can really take some time to align all of your thoughts and lifestyle factors to create the safety needed for "0" days. Thanks to both of you for your time.

Listening at Howard Schubiner always brings my fear level down. I love this man. I read his book Unlearn your pain. I know for sure that TMS is not a body problem. TMS is a fear problem. My biggest struggle is doubt. I know I have TMS but especially with new pains doubt comes up. And doubt and fear are connected. My pains are caused by constant fear and focus. I’m sure there are no suppressed emotions involved in my case. When I found out after more than 25 years that I have TMS I entered heaven.

Absolutely true. Listening to Schubiner is therapeutic. Unfortunately, the exchange rate being what it is, his book is unaffordable in India.

After reading Unlearn Your Pain I had immediate relief. Over the years pain via the brain pops up frequently. It’s arthritis but also TMS. I’m at the point where I have healed so many emotional issues through a lot of hard work but, being 67 years old, I’m convinced a lot of emotional health comes with age. I’m just more apt to dismiss the pain. I’m tired 😂

Question for both of you awesome doctors. Do you think mind/body docs such as yourselves would be willing to be experts and/or testify in court cases (and there are millions) where people are suing for accidents (mostly auto) where they claim herniated discs, radiculopathy etc. which most doctors relate to pain, and refute the connection?

I have Small Fiber Neuropathy. I am hoping this helps with the prickling, itching, burning, cold and hot sensations on my skin. It’s mainly in my thighs but the prickling and itching sensations are all over. It feels like I’m sunburned and little fleas are biting me all over when I get super stressed out. I also have burning in my right foot that comes and goes. Hoping for healing. Anybody else have any weird skin sensations or symptoms? Mine was apparently caused by an overdose of Vitamin B6 years ago.

Question for Dr. Schubiner: how does one let go of the fear of the pain per se when it's raging/severe? Is PRT using tools like somatic tracking even an option on yhis setting and as a human being how are you supposed to not succumb to any of the big six 'F's then?

Can you talk to small fibre neuropathy more ? I know Howard said 60% have a positive test and have no symptoms but what about the other 40?? Do they ACtually have it and does that mean it is structural not mind body ? post vax neuropathy here

What about people with long COVID experiencing POTS? Or people who got vaccinated and have adverse reactions that align with long COVID symptoms also??? The FLCCC is treating patients and running inflammatory panels on them and finding a lot of damage to people's vascular system. This virus damages the endothelial function and causes clotting to occur in order to repair the damage being done at a cellular level. So I understand people with fear and anxiety related disorders were being affected worse, but I'm curious what the underlying mechanism is behind that. I started having these terrible symptoms in spring of 2020. Never had sinus like symptoms. But I did for sure get acute COVID really bad in spring 2022 and could barely walk my joints and knees hurt so bad. I went into the ER for tachycardia I could not get to lower, severely elevated blood pressure, vertigo.. basically what seems like what I call a POTS episode that usually last for 6-8 hours straight until I end up in the ER from dehydration etc. My lab work all came back abnormal and showed signs of major infection. The Dr dismissed me and said if I wasn't having sinus or respiratory symptoms, they don't do anything for it. I was shocked. My lymphocytes we're so low and my monocytes and neutrophils we're very high. But he said I wasn't having normal acute COVID symptoms cause it was all POTS symptoms along with stomach ache, and joint aches... So bad that I was barely able to walk so I had to be put in a wheelchair for all the testing. Never had it as bad as then. But it retriggered the vertigo symptoms for about a week. The only good part about going to the ER is getting fluids cause these episodes cause dehydration from sweating and fluids coming out every end for hours straight. It feels like rolling panic attacks one after another that come on for no reason, even waking me up out of a deep sleep at times. But they cause severe vertigo to the point that most motion makes me dizzy and feel disoriented. I got tons of ear aches as a kid and do have high frequency hearing loss. And the tinnitus symptoms don't bother me too much. But the distorted sounds do. Not being able to understand or hear ppl is frustrating. But none of these nervous system symptoms started until after COVID. Since all these symptoms can be caused by vascular disorders and acute COVID causes vascular damage and tissue damage, then why are you saying long COVID is just a mind body disorder?? There is actually physical damage to the tissues. My MRI showed damage as well. And research is showing the same.

Bc you clearly had a physical/structural damage right after or during the infection, which is normal. Dr Shubiner and all other TMS practitioners have said over and over that once you get all structural damage ruled out, then you rule IN mind body. Sorry you had such a hard time, I think regardless structural or not, it’s always a good idea to calm down the fear and respond calmly to these symptoms
