I deployed too Iraq and other parts of the Middle East during my military career. I was in a middle of mass shooting back in 1998 South Texas College, around the year 2005-ish after I came from my 1st deployment (over a year) I was middle of shooting between two men(argument)on a convenience store in Odessa,TX. The last one was in San Antonio,TX, in the middle of the street during heavy traffic time 2023.what do you think is going to happen when you allow just about everyone to own a gun with little to no training. A good guy might have gun, but tomorrow he or she might have a bad day. We humans are emotionally unstable at times. It takes great self-discipline and training to seek those emotions in check. By the way,i believe in action. Hope and prayers come too late for the dead.

Violent crimes involving a firearm are a daily, commonplace occurrence. It's not just Houston or Texas. Many of those firearms have crossed state lines. America is at war with itself and people are dying every day as a result

all the people saying how strange it is for the people to be so calm is because stuff like this doesnt happen in this area. its not heavily populated and it is more that people were in disbelief possibly shocked at what was going on. its not chicago, or new york or texas or other big cities like that. its small town arkansas. theres like 3 thousand people that live there in that town. stuff like that doesnt happen there. they are the ones watching it happen to other places on tv never expecting it would happen to them in their town of all places. for all anybody knew it was little rock or pine bluff that get the most attention for shootings. not everybody walks around with a gun here....yet.

Imagine if firearm ownership was heavily regulated in all states and if the citizens were willing to reduce their "freedom" a little to abolish illegal weapons, as it is in other highly developed countries. The US would've been as safe as the UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, etc. Children could walk and play outside in big cities without having to worry about stray bullets
