It depends from my experience they look like the Cantonese Jiao Zi but they lack the internal meat and or ingredient

Gyoza is Japan’s take on the potstickers. In Japan they are completely deep fried so they’re crispy all around. These potstickers originate from china and have the crispy pan fried bottom and steamed top.
