marcus did his time learning from some great chefs and threw away all the egotistical crap he'd been taught, and kept the techniques. he has grown into the gold standard of what a modern chef should be. he treats people as respectfully as his ingredients, and understand that both have their season. well done you, marcus.

I envy people who can say "every season we have different produce". I live in a tropical country where mass agriculture is favored over diversity, and it's terrible! I'm trying to plant some different varieties, but here in Brazil, even the people who do organics always plant the same varieties. :(

You should check out what Alex Atala is doing at D.O.M. in São Paulo. He makes it part of his mission to use ingredients that are exclusively found in Brazil, even going so far as to forage in the rain forest. He was on an episode of "chefs table" which I believe is on Netflix. It was an interesting episode to say the least.

As far as I know it's usually some sort of caramel. You heat sugar until it becomes liquid and then spread it, cool it down but before it becomes rock solid you cut shapes out of it. In this particular case it might be different but that's usually how it's done

Although I have no doubt that Gordon Ramsay is an exceptional chef, Wareing is proof that you don't have to be an angry bully to produce good food. He has two Michelin stars and his staff don't look like they're tiptoeing on cracked egg shells. I saw a BBC crew follow Gordon Ramsay and damn, does he have to shout so much? I'm sure they hear him fine and are trying their best but the kitchen can only hold so many people. I work in a restaurant part time and the owner is sometimes yelling at the staff because he feels they're "taking too long." Well, I took a good look: one is cooking 8 beef patties and there's no more room on the grill. Another is cooking the potatoes and they have to be seared so they're spread all over the grille in her section. Another is chopping up the ingredients as the cooks ask for them and the last two are shifting back and forth between prepping the ingredients and helping with the actual cooking but there's the problem of having only three surfaces on the grill available. The kitchen wall would have to be stretched another 3 feet to fit a fourth cooking surface. There's only so much you can do with limited equipment and staff. My point again is that there's no real need to be loud and abusive to have a good restaurant and I saw three videos of Wareing in his kitchen. He didn't scream at the staff or act badly in front of the customers. And his restaurant has a two-star Michelin rating, which I'm told is tough to get.

If you got 10 chefs in a room and gave them a choice that they could go and work under Marcus or go and work under Gordon 9 out of 10 chefs would pick Gordon,my ex was a HR manager for a massive luxury hotel group so I know this for a fact.Gordon might shout and scream but if you have what it takes and your in the top 5 % of your game Gordon will back you all the way financially and morally.I might not agree with his methods but if I was putting years of my time into training some one then giving the a £2 million business to run I would want to know they had the skill and mental strength to succeed wouldn't you. All these people of who whinge and moan about Gordon well when they have a 3 star restaurant and £100 million business empire I will listen to what they say. He does not force any one to work for him the choice is theirs and people in that industry would cut each other's throats just to get near a Gordon Ramsey kitchen FACT

+largol33t1 He hams it up for the camera- people loves it. If you watch his other show he doesn't scream or shout at all. F words, 100 recipe to stake your life on, or the show of him travelling, or the one where he teaches convicts how to cook... It's the point of the show and the reason they watch it. In his real kitchen I bet he probably shout like once a week at most.

Franzapanz Just look at the stars, Who created them? Look at your conscience. Who gave you a conscience? Yet he did not leave himself without witness, for he did good by giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.” (Acts 14.17). Here is how I became a Christian, its not long. I have been a Christian for around 10 yrs. Before that I was having premarital sex with women and involved in homosexual relations with a man. I also committed other sins, e.g. lying, blasphemy, lust, pornography, dishonoring my parents, worshiping statues, hatred. I was guilty and all of us deserve to go to hellfire, to be tortured forever by GOD. We (including you), are born children of sin, children of hell, and children of the devil. Have you sinned? Have you told lies? Then you are a liar. Have you stolen a few cents, or pennies? Then you are a thief. Have you had sex before marriage? Then you are a fornicator. Blasphemed GOD's name? Then you are a blasphemer? Ever lusted or watched porn? Then you are an adulterer in heart. Ever hated? Then you are a murderer in heart. Ever dishnoured your parents? Ever worshipped a false god/statue (e.g. Allah, Hindu gods, creation, pornography, your wife, or anything else in the creation like stars, animals? Buddha?). Then you are an idolater? But GOD is rich in mercy, and he loves us so much that He sent his Son into the world, to be tortured and to die for sinners. This sinless Jesus laid his life down for disgusting sinners, taking my disgusting sins upon his own sinless body, and 3 days later, he rose from the dead! Lust, and lying and stealing, is wrong, abnormal, it's unnatural. What is natural, is that you walk in GOD's good ways! Turn from your sins today (STOP SINNING), & put your trust and faith in Jesus. Will you be a Christian today? If you become a Christian, you will receive: 1. forgiveness of sins, your sins and guilt will be blotted out, 2. GOD himself will dwell inside you, 3. your name will be written in the Lambs book of Life, 4. you will enter the new Earth (where there is no cancer), 5. and you will see GOD's face. If you become a Christian, you will become a saint, and you will be holy, and people will hate you for Jesus' name sake. The following Scriptures prove that Jesus is GOD. There are many however. “You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to Jesus, “and you have seen Abraham!” 58 “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am! (Jn 8.58) Exodus 3: 13 tells us GOD's name: Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” 14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM" This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” GOD's name is I AM. Jesus' name is I AM. Therefore Jesus is GOD. And Jesus is THE ONLY WAY TO GOD THE FATHER! 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous[b] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,[c] 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. If you don't become a Christian, then your blood be on your own heads! I am innocent of it. (Acts 18:6) Now you have no excuse for your sin.

Those are all words in a book that were written by man, and you have no way of knowing whether or not they are true. Again, you have no tangible, irrefutable proof that "GOD" exists. You can believe that he does, but until you provide substantial, physical evidence, then your "GOD" is about as real as the Boogeyman.

@DoctorMcHerp 9 жыл бұрын
Based on scientific knowledge, along with proof from the hospital, my parents created me when my father inserted his penis in my mother's vagina and proceeded to fertilize her egg cells by ejaculating inside her. There was an actual physical and scientifically proven process that lead to my "creation."
