Storm Kathleen has brought disruption to the UK and Ireland with dozens of UK flights cancelled and about 34,000 left without power as Saturday provisionally become the hottest day of the year.
The warning covers the north-west and south-west of England and parts of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, from 8am to 10pm. A further yellow warning for wind has been issued for north-west Scotland on Sunday between 9am and 3pm, with gusts of up to 70mph expected again.

Waves also carry with them large pebbles and timbers its not only the weight of the water that you are at risk of being hit with. It also true that waves are unpredictable you may think that you are safe and beyond their reach but even in calm conditions there is always a big one on the way that can hit at any time. In a storm they are even worse.
