Welcome back to another episode of Tech Jason tackling another challenging job. Today's job involved a situation that had previously been visited by two NBN contractors. The first tech unfortunately didn't provide the best service, leaving the customer without any connection and with a poor impression. To make matters worse, the second contractor from Aussie Broadband also struggled to find the cable at the MDF, despite spending 2 hours on the job.
In today's video, you'll see how Jason swiftly and efficiently identifies the cable at the MDF using his F-set, and tags it for the next NBN contractor, making the process smoother and faster for the customer. This service should've been provided during the original installation and thus we strongly believe Aussie Broadband should fully reimburse the customer for our call-out fee.

This is exactly why I brought my own Fset. Apparently (2nd hand info from a tech). the contractors get paid per job, so it's not in their best interest to fix the problem, or fix it properly, because it won't generate them future work. At almost every place I've lived, I've had to help the contractor and make sure they don't leave before properly completing the job. There is no incentive to do a good job, but rather there is incentive to do a bad one.

The tech probably stuffed someone elseโ€™s internet up. Iโ€™ve heard from many customers that each time they see a nbn truck in their street the internet is going down. This would be due to techโ€™s having a good time changing pairs then break someone else

@@richardkimmorley6384, in my current house after being connected for a month, a tech connected the neighbor using my line, then the next one comes out, reconnects me, with my old line and the neighbor lost their internet. The neighbor and I worked out what was going on and met the next tech at the pit. They ended up running a new line 200 meters down the street.

Rude NBN techs, no surprise. I was setting up a friends soho network for their fixed wireless getting connected that day, the NBN guy says all done, just need to wait 10 minutes for NBN to do things on their end. Says nothing about the box having to stay on and goes off his brain when I unplugged the power to plug in a power strip for the router. If he had mentioned the box having to stay powered up in this time I would have happily left it alone and waited for the go ahead. Only ever turned up well after a new connection is set up and the customer had trouble setting up their router or home network. Never been present on connection day before this so had I had no idea in that regard.

I have no idea? Yeah right! Iโ€™ve only worked inside the network since 1997. Help construct and build most of the copper network in Sydney, central coast and Illawarra, managing over 200 techs, in a massive infrastructure upgrade. Iโ€™m guessing you are one of these shitty NBN contractors. Aussie Broadband has a full service where they connect to the customers socket and donโ€™t leave the customers hanging. They didnโ€™t even tag the A side. And if they canโ€™t trace a line they have no business working in the network. Itโ€™s you that has no idea By the way itโ€™s called an MDF not a MD frame frame. ๐Ÿ˜‚
