hi, my name is markus amsler. I am a structural engineer with over 30 years of experience in designing bearing structures. my goal with this channel is to provide tutorials in calculation and design of structural elements. this is mostly for concrete but also for steel and timber structures. I also want to give insights into calculation concepts and material characteristics.

this video is not a tutorial video for statical calculation in the first place. it merely resulted from many comments on instagram posts about rust on rebars occuring on construction site pictures.
I want to make clear that slight rust on rebars is normal and does not do any harm nor to the reinforcement nor to the later construction.
you can also leave comments wether on youtube or in the comment section of my homepage. I am glad for suggestions like how to improve my channel or what content would be interesting for you. please understand that it probably won't be possible for me to answer every single comment.
