For glass n steel container u can use hair dryer .it is very effective. I use hairdryer only.and for adhesive u can use nail paint remover.or perfume.

'Good ideas" but also I would like to share very easy way I remove the sticker from glass or plastic jars and containers....simply use "HAIR DRYER" let it run on sticker for few seconds or min or two depending on sticker & type of glue material and you will be able to lift the sticker easily (you may take help of blade or knife peel off whole sticker) then take a cotton ball & put some drops of any kind of oil to take off any sticky residue rub it off ....is that simple, No need to work hard on it....

Residue can also be removed using spirit/alcohol/industrial solvent etc. If available.

From cloth u can remove stickers by using iron on it.just iron on stickers for few seconds and whole sticker will come out from clothes.

I only keep those containers that my hand can reach down to the bottom. Otherwise its a headache to clean with brush etc. Manufacturers must use only such containers then there will be no wastage and environment friendly.

Mene bhi ek tip kiya tha mene mustard oil laga diya tha label par aur ek din ke Baad wo label bahut hi aaram se nikal gaya tha aur bottle ko dish washer aur baking soda se thoda garam paani se wash kar diya tha please agar koi aur bhi ise aatma sakta hai😊
