Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx is a haute couture way to lunch or dine.
Precise tailor made cuisine is the hallmark of Thierry Marx, who confirms his talent as a master culinary craftsman at the Mandarin Oriental’s showcase restaurant. Offering a complete sensory experience for gourmands, signature restaurant, awarded two Michelin Stars, is where Thierry Marx blends the technical and emotional aspects of cooking with sight, sound and taste. Every dish reveals his tireless scientific approach, which is sometimes teasing but always exacting. With each dish he aims for a profound personal response.
Every detail of the design by Jouin-Manku complements this sensory experience. On entering, guests discover an intimate all-white cocoon, which acts as a blank canvas for the menu. By draping the walls and ceiling with white fabric, we have created an impression of weightless clouds, while in the centre lies an elliptic crystal seemingly suspended in mid-air. Exciting every sense, a lunch or an evening at Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx will never be forgotten.
This is a extraordinary molecular gastronomy Michelin 2 stars restaurant, interior decor is stunning, friendly professional service, unusual presentation creative foods, not just delicious, is amazing and surprise. I recommend foie gras course, texture are delicate and smooth , perfectly combined to create, is a unique course.

i honestly like the look of the minimalist presentation and environment. i don’t see it as cold or clinical. it just looks clean and careful. to me, a minimalist presentation is just a different form of hospitality, because every detail is thought-out with nothing unnecessary or messy. it’s not the only way to care for a customer, but it IS founded in care, imo. it also just suits the concept of molecular gastronomy. i don’t judge people for taking or leaving minimalism, but as a messy stressed person i like it a lot to see things placed just-so.

The plating and presentation seems very minimalist and hypermodern. Honestly, it's not very appealing to me. I much prefer the more organic style as seen in your Le Meurice video. If you had to pick between Sur Mesure and Le Meurice, which would you choose?

yes I agreed, Le Meurice style more impressive beautiful restaurant Le Meurice Alain Ducasse classic style, sur Mesure par Thierry Max modern interior design, not easy to compare, both I like it, foods delicious.

I love watching these, the dishes here looked amazing. But I didn't like the clinical interior of the restaurant that much. Personal thing I know. The most challenging thing for me, apart from the Bill would be how to actually eat some of the courses Thank you for sharing.
