I end the book with one of the most powerful quotes I've ever encountered It changed my life And it's by a professor from Stanford who was no longer there Jim March But he says look and I'm reading it He says in the end we are very minor blips in a cosmic story All our hopes are minor except to us but some things do matter And what might make a difference to us is if in our tiny roles in our brief time we inhabit life gently and add more beauty than ugliness So what I would tell your listeners is this Just spend minutes today trying to answer the question what does living life more gently look like for you And what a couple of things you can do to make the world more beautiful in the ways that you uniquely can
