This is a really well done video. As much as I have a constantly wandering eye with regards to anything paramotoring related I feel a lot like Travis does, "This one is mine and it's perfect." I fly a few times a week and above everything else my Nitro 200 takes me flying when I want to go flying. That's why I like it.

I love these videos so much. Your transparency sharing everything about the nitro really shows how you stand behind your product and that gives a prospective buyer confidence.

You guys are awesome. Thanks for the review. I hope I get to meet you someday and fly down in FLA. I'm still wingless but I hope to change that this year, fingers crossed. As a pre-noob this motor tops the list because of your transparency. You guys are an example for how all small businesses should do things.

Your customer service is exceptional. I've seen how quick you are to help /and or rectify any problems your customers have. I'm still unsure which motor to buy but if I did decide to go with the AC I would hope that other dealers would provide the same high standard of service that the aviator guys do. Its reassuring.

I worked in customer service for a large RV manufacturer and I can't stress enough how important good customer service is. If you guys take care of your customers, you will have a successful business. Personally, if I have problems with a product and the vendor shows me that they care about me and my problem, they got a customer for life. One bullshit excuse or one bullshit attitude and you lose people really quick. I've been watching you guys for a long time and have seen you talk about the Nitro and some of the problems that have happened and from what I've seen, you guys have nothing to worry about. You got a quality product and your customer service is the best, I wish I could invest in your company. I don't fly, but I'm getting ready to do it this springtime and from all the research I've done, AviatorPPG with their Air Conception paramotors are my #1 choice.
@CrimFerret6 жыл бұрын
What came out of this for me was these are extremely reliable given how they are used and when something does break (as anything mechanical can and eventually will) you stand by your customers even when it's their fault something broke. I know where I'll be getting my paramotor when I manage to finish saving up for one.

The exhaust cracking at the repair points is likely caused by the high stress the metal undergoes during the welding process. You may be able to prevent cracking by heating the weld point and the first 2 inches of metal on both sides of the weld to orange hot and letting it cool slowly to anneal it. That will relieve the stress in the metal. An oxy-acetylene torch would work better than a little blue bottle hand-held propane torch.

It would be great to keep a list on the website or somewhere with 'known issues' and dates of manufacture that it affects. Like "if you ordered your motor after January 2017, the applicable known issues are...."
@JonathanHair6 жыл бұрын
This would be very helpful. Known failure like the pulley should be documented online more so than in a video.

Although I have been known to complain about how long it takes to get things...;o) ...... I'm happy that I got my Nitro 200 just before Christmas. As I feel most of the issues that Travis listed have been addressed with my Motor. I have the new wrist strap on mine and it is quite nice. I did notice right off how nice that strap fit on my hand. Now I just need to go find the fuse. And relay's are not an issue. They are typically pretty easy to find. As long as I can tell what amperage they need to be. I usually take good care of my Lipo's and I too have never had a problem with a Lipo battery. Just treat them with respect and you'll do OK.

Seems like a great motor. Not yet bullet proof, but getting there quickly. But here comes the tornado. There is a leaning curve with any new engine. Weaknesses show up over time. The tornado seems like it is going to be a winner, but right now, the 200 is the way to go. It has been tested the only dependable way. In the air. The tornado is going to be more complex, fuel pump, etc.. More to go wrong. That Cessna engine hasn't changed much for good reason. It works fine as is. I hope by the time I am ready to invest in a new engine, the revisions will be all done. Thanks for the videos,. Good to see reputable dealers showing both sides of the coin and being honest with potential customers. Very rare in this sport. Glad you guys are successful. Hope to do business with you some day.

lower the trigger voltage to the relays. Over voltage kills relay coils. In a high vibration system I’d use MOSFET in parallel for the switching.

Hi. Is the nitro 200 powerful enough for a heavy person. I would say I weight about 110kg with normal clothing on. I’m 6ft 1. The tornado 280 sounds like fun but I would prob not like the increase in fuel consumption. Hoping the nitro 200 has enough power for me. I would prob like to do adventure flying. Goto different locations. Maybe a bit of cross country. But mainly just for fun. Any advise would be great thanks.

A build car motor like a Honda K24, an LS based GM small-block engine or even an second-hand AMG or BMW engine would cost that much (Not including ECU), but then I guess you would need the rest of the car and drive train as well (but then you are not talking about the cost of the wing or frame ect here). Also you can get most of the way to a super bike engine for that much. I guess my question is what is bringing the cost here? Is it because the market is tiny in comparison to the big automotive industry? Great video.
@justharryjohnson72506 жыл бұрын
why on earth have people disliked this video? keep up the great work guys. I'm due to fly in the next few weeks. I just found a nice airstrip that will let me launch 👍

When you have a position, no matter how inoffensive, there will be opposition, not because of what your position is, but simply because you *have* a position. The thumbs downs only verify that these guys sell products and support them.

What will you do with all the Nitro 200s that hit the market when the Tornadoes get here? Will there be great deals, and will you be working to make them available? Seems like a unique opportunity to get some people (maybe even me) who can't swing the cost as things stand right now.
@caspernilsson6 жыл бұрын
Uhm, 280 will be too powerful for most pilots to handle, so I don't think that will be a problem at all. Lots of people are very happy with 80-120cc.

How old is Air Conception? 2yr warranty is ok. And you pay shipping both ways is nice guys. When you start talking about a company who tosses the crank cases, that cant be good for a young company. People will stay away for a couple years at least. Its like buying a car you never buy a car when they first build them for the first couple years :)) Just saying.. But it is good you guys are honest, I hope Air conception didn't get pissed you mention they tossed that many.. :) More than likely they have a Chinese company build the cranks pistons jugs for them :) I also hate when a company advertises 200 and yet its only 190cc. If you went to the store and bought 10 apples and yet they only give you 8 wouldn't you be pissed LOL So stupid manufacturers do that crap. And china is very famous for it. Especially In LED Grow light industry. A 300w grow light is really only about 180w. :) but most people don't know that. Good video thanks guys.
