When Katrina Smith, a beloved wife and stepmother, failed to show up for work, her husband, Todd Smith, immediately alerted the authorities. As days passed with no sign of Katrina, Todd repeatedly appeared on local television begging for the safe return of his wife. When her body was found nearly three weeks later, the community’s worst fears were confirmed. In 20/20’s ‘Deadly Vows’ full episode, investigators dig into the crime and uncover a sordid tale of infidelity, a crumbling marriage and a husband’s alarming past.

It's the spouse who did it when he or she is not included in the interview of the show.

People think my first husband is a stand-up guy and he pushed me down a mountain. I still have the scar. I put him through medical school, he did nothing but cheat... I'm sure his fellow coworkers would be shocked... 30 years later I find out it was because his jealous friend was filling him with bullshit, telling him if he was going to be a rockstar drummer he didn't need to be with one woman he wanted to be with them ALL..he wanted to kill him because HE wanted to be with me...My second husband, he told his baby's mama a lie just so she wouldn't kick his ass and she was waiting down at the end of my street with a very large black man (NOTHING RACIST, IT'S THE TRUTH) waiting for him to leave my house. There should have been no reason he was at my house but he called the night before, to ask if he could have coffee then proceeded to Pace in my kitchen for 45 minutes until it was time for him to leave and he shoved me in the car... I saw them as we were leaving... The man was picked up several years later, I had a heart attack when I saw his mugshot on TV for a murder for hire... Both were pretty popular in town, everyone knows them both. They were in two of the biggest bands in town. ... You never really know somebody. Trust no one. I can't.

When they say my best friend it’s not her best friend. My sister had that line on her wedding invitation and it turns out he would beat her, he had several affairs, had a child with one of his mistress and she finally left him when he put a gun to her head. She divorced him.

I like 20/20 but my god cut it back to 60 minutes. Two hours is just too long, gets tiring hearing the same thing over and over just dragging on. Not 1 episode i have seen couldn’t be done in half the time.

Weddings make me cringe. The brides are the sacrifice and many lives are destroyed metaphorically and literally. She said he is her best friend. So tragic.

Why when people are missing, and they usually got something to do with it, they'll speak to where its hard for you to understand them on that first phone call... to me thats the beginning signs of guilt!!

A lot of people are nearly unintelligible on the phone. They don't enunciate or speak clearly, and if they're on speaker phone that makes it even worse.

While that one detail can seem a certain way in a vacuum, it really isn’t much by itself and would require more context to mean something that’s actually discernible. She could also be in disbelief that her dream had finally become a reality.
