Something that helped my battery life greatly is I went app by app and I restricted the background use to only the ones that I need to run in the background like Whatsapp, Instagram ect. That helped a lot. I went from 4 hour screen on time to 6 hour screen on time on my Pixel Fold. Thank you for the video!

@@albertbolanos8794 go to settings and 8n search type " app battery usage" and go app by app and restrict all the apps that should not be running on the back ground. Android Auto was the one killing my battery even though I never use it. Try that it should help. Also if you don't have the Android Beta 14 get it. You'll see a huge difference in battery life also compared to Android 13. At least in my case.

I knew I wasn't crazy, I turned off adaptive charging a couple of days ago, and I realize this phone went from 10 percent to 45 percent in 15 min...I was shocked😮...also I closed all my running apps...This is amazing

@@DevinNixonDavis battery health is a measure of the capacity over time. It isn't for improving the SOT day to day, but over months it decreases the wear on the battery to charge it slowly, prolonging it's life in the long run.

Good stuff, I'm considering this as my Duo 2's power button is starting to lift up on the side facing me when the phone is open. It's lifted up enough that I could slide a finger nail under it.

I love your channel; you cover tech with a fair and balanced professionalism. I really like the Pixel Fold's form factor...the size of the cover screen is perfect. But the cost is too much. I will hold onto my Z Fold 3 and force myself even more to struggle with the narrow cover display. But I will continue to stay tuned to your Pixel Fold updates....and drool. 🤤

Just setting up my Fold 😊 loving it so far the only other thing I've done is speed up Window animation scale Animation scale Transition animation scale All to .5X The haptics are a bit different also to the Pixel 7Pro, not in a bad way just different.

Thanks, another question was thinking about getting a MAG SAFe case for Pixel fold? My son thinks not a good idea mag safe with ANDROID? Think his concern is a magnet in the case all the time? Never thought Iphone had anything special inside? Thoughts on mag safe case with Android?

Your tip on turning off the 5G radio helped me with my data coverage with the fold. Since the day I bought it I had been having poor data coverage 😔😔😔. Switching to LTE im now getting full coverage 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Thank you.

I'm wondering why they are able to offer the split screen option when closed but cannot offer it whilst open for a three app look like that of samsung. I am finding out more things about my fold thanks to you. I chose the fold because you fought its side when other reviewers just kept berating it.

I noticed I don't have that setting with my SIM to select preferred network, but it made me think that maybe that is in fact why I get such good screen on time on mine, I don't have a 5G SIM or plan as I find it to be completely pointless so I'm on LTE with my Pixel Fold, well 5Ge because of AT&T's B.S., but still actually 4G.

I am having an issue when I get a second income in call while I'm on the phone and I have my phone on my ears, the phone lights up and does not go dark when I bring the phone back to my ear. Because the light stays on while a second income in call is coming in, it's starts pressing button from my ears. Not sure if that makes sense. If it does, I would really appreciate if you could help. You have been one of the best guys for phone reviews and advice and tips. Please keep up the good work. You're always a five star

Do you know if he is a way to assign "text shortcuts" .... on Samsung I cold type in a code like "wtf" and everytime I did, I could assign i to populate the phrase "What The Fuck!!" I can't seem to do that with the Fold?

The Beta 14 update improved my battery life alot. My battery life is pretty close to where i was with my z fold 4. This is my first Pixel device and i wish someone would make a video about file management on the pizel fold for example backing up and restoring data, and arranging pictures and video. I have been in the samsung universe for many years and i was use to the gallery app on samsung and smartswitch to easily back up and restore my data. I hate the google photos app and i hate google back up and google drive even more.

Not sure I'd turn of adaptive charging. My fast charging Samsung blew through its battery in two years. It's now a fun toy for an hour or two but I don't dare take it out for a day. My Duo with its slow charging seems to hold on to it's day 1 battery performance.

Need to actually sit down and test it, but the RIG MG-X works as does the wireless GameSir one I reviewed on the channel.

Cinematic wallpapers aren't working for me, the star icon isn't there. Not even the preset Feather wallpaper works. I have my same wallpaper on my Pixel 6 and the cinematic works, but not on my fold. What gives you think?

It look like it was rolling out around the same time, but I don't think it's actually been pushed out to anybody yet. You should still have the wallpapers.

Use a PD charger and PD usb C to usb C cable with yhe charger rated at 30+ watts. A usb C laptop charger usally checks the boxes.

I've used a 130W GAN charger with a PD rated cable and I can't hit 30W lol.

really bad start for this Google pixel fold. I bought mine from At&t and it came with a camara malfunction, had to send it back, not the best way to get in the market, review really good yours before taking it home.

I bought my Surface Duo 2 to the T-Mobile store trying to look at the Pixel Fold and the receptionist was like.... "Why the Hell are you wanna Trade that (My Duo 2) for the Pixel Fold??? I'm like it's the only phone close to my Duo 2's Form factor and there is a Crack on 1 of my screens.... She's like Well that makes sense...
