I can wholeheartedly endorse the quality and performance of Certina DS Action divers. I would wish they had something mid-range 39-41mm, but for a watch around $1,000 they pack a very classic look, a whole lot of specs, and great lume for the price.

The Yema Superman Slim CMM.20 (top end version of the Superman), manufacture micro-rotor movement, 39 mm, slim as its name suggests, 300 m water resistance, and a long history (since 1963) with its truly elegant and unique vintage design to tell it. @@scoobertdoobert743I agree, that's why i wrote it like a quote. But yes, it always sounds weird to qualify a historic brand that had success for decades as such. Owever, some people (including Teddy Baldassarre in some of his videos) describe it as a micro brand. Probably because Yema doesn't sell a huge number of watches compared to mainstream brands in its price range (Hamilton is the most obvious example), doesn't belong to a huge group, and spent quite some time struggling before being efficiently brought back in front of the scene few years ago, via some kickstarters. And using kickstarter to develop a brand and hit the market is typicaly a micro brand strategy. I think that's the main reason why people put Yema in this category, and let's be honest, the definition of it is pretty vague, since it often also includes brands like Vulcain or Nivada Grenchen

Excellent episode covering dive watches for small to medium size wrists. I have the BP Fifty Fathoms 38mm in blue. And I must say it’s one of my favourite watches in my collection. But an FYI to all, it doesn’t hack. So might take some getting use to when setting the time. The Elka and the Aquastar sparked my interest mainly because of the movement and size. What prevents me from considering a Grand Seiko is that most if not all their watches have baton hour markers. Would love to have them revive the Arabic numeral model they had a few years back in a spring drive reincarnation and /or produce more rounded hour markers. Dial designs are excellent though. With Tudor, still waiting for more dial colours of their METAS watches in GMT, dive form at 37 to 40mm. Just purchased a Tissot Seastar WNBA Wilson watch at 40mm. Came with 2 straps and absolutely love the size and fit.

Great video! I used to wear larger watches, some of my G-Shocks are pretty much portable clock towers. I also have one 44mm diver, which I still occasionally wear when I'm in the right mood for it. The largest watch I wear often is my Orient Mako, which comes in at 41.8mm. But I now lean heavily towards much smaller watches, 35mm, 34mm, and I even have a rectangular vintage Omega DeVille that comes in at just 32mm that I wear a lot! Looking at the wrist shots in this video, these fit is so much nicer than the usual fit that people get with 40+ mm watches generally. I've been looking at other of your videos with larger watches and to me the contrast is stark, to my eyes this smaller watches just fit better on these wrists. I hope the trend continues. As someone who started his watch journey with original Swatches, these smaller watch sizes feel like home to me.

Maybe it was covered in the previous video, but the Orient RA-AC0QO silver bezel series could be a good addition here now that the notorious dial mis-print issue has been solved. On my wrist as I type. Love it, blue dial is amazing. I wish it were a mill or two thinner, but it's definitely been getting more wrist time than I ever thought it would.

Never mention Glycine 39 or 36. They get no love on KZfaq but they're a great spec. Watch for smaller wrists and a good value
