Uniroyal RainSport 5 - Everyone loves the RainSport range, but it's not yet proven in tests. I will have it in my 16" test later this year. Pirelli Cinturato P7 P7C2 - a new version of the tyre, but like the RainSport 5 it is untested. Stay tuned for more information.

Agreed for the 2014 to 2019 s3 8v there is no better 225 40 18 tyre and they are a perfect match. Transformed my wife’s car. Use Pirelli pzero stock spec on the rs3, was going to go to Michelin PS4 but a lot friends and fellow owners had issues, more with the car whinging Tcs alerts but no issue with the tyres. The pzeros are good but not on a par with Michelin. I use cheap tyres on the Peugeot as do few miles.

I was impressed with my Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 1’s, particularly in terms of economy, which was noticeably better than the General Altimax One’s that I now have fitted, although I found the NVH to be slightly worse so I will look forwards to the review of the new version.

Sava Intensa Ultra High Performance 2 was 6th out of 16 tested in ADAC for 2020 and not so much as a mention...For the price, it's a cracking deal (Sava is now owned by Goodyear)

I got a set of Michelin CrossClimate+ for my Tesla Model 3 Performance largely because of your videos and website. They were amazing last winter driving over some snowy mountains and in some icy conditions in Northern Idaho, they are great in the regular rain we get in the Seattle area, and I can still do 3.1s 0-60 in the dry. So thanks for the recommendation! I always make sure to link to your videos and website if a friend is looking for tires.

I can vouch for the PremiumContact6's on an MX5. I've had an accident with bad tyres on my MX in the past and I was scared to drive it on wet tarmac. However, given how much effort it took me to get the wheels to lose lateral traction, I've now overcome that anxiety! Bought it according to last year's recommendation. Wet performance was the most important aspect for me and they haven't let me down yet.

Tyre Reviews they are, before that i ran the ps4 because cup2 arrent in the stock size available But i bougt soms O.Z. Wheels for my car and i’m going from 205/45/17 to 225/45/17 and a stiffer side wall combined with coilovers and eibach sway bars it drives like a track car with none of the drawbacks. Some semi’s you have to warm up, something thats not always possible if a session is only 20 minuts and it takes 2/3 laps to get heat in them but the cups are pretty much fast from start and get better the harder you push:)

2 months ago I just fitted my new set of tyres (due to upgrading wheels from 17"-->18") and i decided to go with GY Eagle F1 Asym 5 (I had Primacy 3 on 17"), seamed the best price/performance ratio for me. Not too much driving happening lately :), but I am very pleased with them so far. Grip seams to be at completely another level :). I have watched all your videos before deciding of course, but I am still looking forward for that PS4 vs Asym5 :p . Keep up the good work !

Yeah some 4S on 18" would be great for my M135i. The stock *-marked PSS aren't very pleasing in the wet, so I changed to regular PS4. They're fine overall but lack a bit of responsiveness.

@@redinho1994 well the 4S is amazing in every job comfort, feeling, driving in dry and rain, driving on the track. But if you are planning on driving on the track more then on the road i recommand slicks + 18 inch light weight wheels ^^ way better upgrade then more power

I just put a set of 4S on my M2 also and am very happy. I kicked it out to 255 Front / 275 Rear on the stock 19 inch rims. This channel was INSTRUMENTAL in my tire choice; excellent channel.

Really excited for what's coming! (Including the 16" touring, not all of us drive supercars :D ) There's 2 tyres you should have mentioned I believe: Pirelli Cinturato P7 P7C2 : the other new entry in the touring segment Firestone Roadhawk : it's really cheap and seems really good

You're right about the P7C2, however as far as I know, it's not been in any tests, so while I'm assuming it will be a great tyre, I need to at least see something. I Just fitted Goodyear efficientgrip performance 2 on my Hyundai Ioniq electric yesterday. Previously had Michelin Energy Saver + on. Massive improvement in handling! The car feels lighter to turn. Lower noise on the highway and been getting the same consumption numbers as i did on the Michelins. Haven't had the chance to drive them in the wet yet. But i guess the grip will be much bretter. It's just incredible how much new tires can do for a car. Btw: Love the channel and the website 👌🏻

@@tyrereviews wow I didn't expect you to actually react! Nice :) I bought Goodyear Eagle F1 asymetric 5 (225/45 R17) for a "boring" Golf 7 2.0tdi 4motion with a slight tune to 200bhp.. I previously had Michelin PS4, which I liked, but towards the end I was kind of disappointed by the performance (wet perf especially). So I'm trying new stuff, hope I won't regret it!

CrazyRabidz I had asymmetric 3 and the tread lasted 27 months 25,000 miles, comfortable and also stuck like glue in the bends. 225/40/18 Golf GTI mk7

@@Billy123bobzzz They have been filled with dying people since hospitals were first started and even more people are dying and been driven out of their heads because of the fear mongering and lies that is going on to something at worse kills very old people that have on going problems in the first place , it's in fact a 99 percent success rate , always rely on your immune system thats what it's for , take some vitamin c and d 3 that with your immune system you'll be fine , in the end this is about control nothing else .

@@patrickparker8417 No, they haven't. They had normal occupancy. Right now all of the local hospitals around us have been filled to maximum capacity and they cannot take non-Covid patients so patients are being treated at home and other non0medical facilities because there simply is no room for anyone else, many of the new Covid patients are waiting at home, because our hospitals have no beds and no respirators. That is the actual fact of what is going on right now. The overload is real, the pandemic is obviously real, to anyone who has of a working brain.

I ran the Continental SportContact 6 on my Megane RS. I was so pleased by this tyre. Quite chapter than the Michelin, and it suits that car that well because it copes with the heat better... And get knows that you put a lot of heat in the front tyres when driving a 310hp fwd hot hatch 😁

Excellent video, really pleased with my Michelin Crossclimate on my Lexus IS250. Being used in the midlands UK and they are perfect in the dry, fantastic in the wet and even good in light snow.

May I ask why the continental extreme contact sport is never compared in the big three? For example the sport contact 6 isn't used by people in the states really , and has a lower UTQG treadwear than the PS4S. Also I alway see clash of interfering tires from different categories being tested in multiple ranges than their listed category. (I DO SEE SOME MANUFACTURERS LIST THEIR TIRE IN MULTIPLE CATEGORIES THOUGH) As there is example multiple tire categories; extreme summer tire, ultra high performance summer, max performance summer tire, etc.... I thought the top 5 UHP/Max Summer Tire Would Be: *************************************************************** Michelin Pilot Sport 4S / Super Sport Continental ExtremeContact Sport/SC6 Eagle F1 SuperSport RS / Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 / S1 Evo 3 ************************************************************** But hey I love all your videos and I can't thank you enough for all the time and dedication you put into making your videos! I just bought the ExtremeContact Sports for my mk7 GTI. I can't compare them to "the big three", but so far they seem to be an excellent tire for my vehicle. They kind of have a split personality. When cruising in a straight line, they do not feel "harsh" to me. Maybe I get a slightly more "detailed" feeling of the road, but mostly it feels like any other tire. But tweek the wheel slightly, and it feels like they are throwing the car sideways--it is almost too much, but then again, the GTI has a tighter steering rack than most cars. The other thing is that traction is noticeably temperatue dependent. In cool temps, like mid 60s, they don't grip much better than an all season tire. But warm them up a bit, like mid 70's and sunny, then they really start to grip. So based on treadwear alone, I would expect the SportContact is like the "soft" compound, which works well in cooler temps, but not so great in hot weather...and the ExtremeContact Sport is the "medium", not as great in cool temps, but holds on better in hot temps. It would be nice of Continental gave us some data about treadwear and grip at various temperatures...

We don't get the ExtremeContact range in Europe, hence the omission. It's broadly similar to our SC6. Same with the S04, it doesn't exist here.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 is really good.. got them in Dec 2019 on my Accord Euro R to replace the old ContiSportContact5 after watching your reviews on them. It is cheaper than Pilot Sport 4, S$130-135/pc for 225/45R17, PS4 is S$155-165/pc. very fast steering action and good road feel and grip, good in the wet as well. downside, my fuel consumption went up. thank you for all the reviews that you have been doing to keep us informed on the differences.

Last year, I've found PS4 (same size as you) on offer at the same price as the F1 Asy5, so I jumped on it. Coming from Asy3, they were amazing with lower noise, better comfort and impressive grip even down to 2-3°C on dry roads. However, I've litteraly burned them in less than 20 000 kms with about 80% of the mileage on motorway. I was planning to change them while switching from winter tyres, but it was before the Covid-19 pandemic, and I'm still struggling which one to choose as a replacement. The F1 Asy5 is definitely the first comind to my mind. I know they are about the same on raw performance, how does the F1 Asy5 feels like about noise and comfort?

@@Neocray1 i run them on front 245 kPa and rear 235kPa (tyre info plate recommend front 240 and rear 230, the factory spec doesn't seem to work well with it. recommend at least 35PSI for the front). i personally do not find them to be noisy. As for comfort, my car is lowered with adjustable damping absorber set to mid and i think would not be a good gauge for comfort. The PS4 we have here are made in Thailand and cost more. The F1 Asy5 is made in Germany.

Another tire that you might want to look at is the General GMax RS in the UHP. I bought a set in 275-40-20 for my muscle car and I am very pleased with them. They are made by Continental in Germany. They are rated very high in Hotrod magazine and Consumer Reports.

Those tyres aren't that great man. Had a set of Pzeros and ditched them after a few months. Total waste of money! PS4s are the go. Got another set 2 months ago

How about Turanza T005? They have high marks in almost all tests, seem to be the cheapest of all premium tyres, (Hankook not included) and objectively better then hankook prime 3 which is a good tyre but as “hot” as it used to be.

Not a personal experience but i heard about pirellis poor performance and especially fast wear from different people (different cars, sizes and driving styles). This new Turanza might be worth a look, you should def contact Bridgestone and let us know what is going on there. I doubt they would not want cooperate (unless they are scared ;) ).

Always my favorite Tyre reviews on KZfaq so far. Such a good wrap up for the 3 missing brand in this video. However I would say I had such bad experiences in pzero not the pz4 u mentioned in this video. Lots of audi S4 owners had pzero as oem tyres(2453520)and there are some issues on their tyres, mainly Tyre bubble and cracks. I still consider ps4s is the best all rounder. However, Csc6 is doing not so good in thread life. I’m looking forward to seeing you doing some S007 or RE004 reviews in the future. Cheers Jack

@@tyrereviews Could send you plenty of photos regarding these issues. Cracks are mostly due to the temperture in winter seasons slightly above 0℃. However, lots of owners claimed that PZERO is easier to get bubbled and they changed to PS4S since then. Majority of owners successfully claimed the tyre damages from dealers or Pirelli. Performance wise, I cant agree more that this is pretty decent tyre.

Mostly always been a Michelin person and I have 4s fitted on one of my cars...but the Continental Sport Contact 6 that I fitted on my Porsche (245 x 35 x 19 & 295 x 35 x 19 based on the back to back test of it being slightly more live handling Tyre is spot on. Enhances the drive in a great way on the front that the Michelin just misses by a nudge. But those Michelin's 4s are a truly great Tyre on their own.

I tried Sport Contact 6's on my old car and the steering feel was improved massively. The feeling and feedback of steering the car with those tyres was, in one word, sublime. Smooth yet engaging, they really made the car a joy to drive, even at slow town speeds. The main comparison was against Michelin's Cup 2's (I would still take the Michelin's for outright dry performance, obviously).

What size did you get and price? I have 235/19/40 and it's hard to find. But the odd prices I seen are around 110quid each which is a sizable difference compared to the usual 160-180 each for the top brands

Great video. I’ve just stuck some AS5’s on our mk2 Pfl diesel Octy vRS (previously had Sportmaxx then AS3’s on it). I’ve also put some Goodrich Urban Terrains on my v6 T4 but that’s mainly for the looks :)

Just put Michelin Primacy 4 today on my Opel Vectra 2009 1.9cdti 150hp. Great touring tires, was on Cross Climate before but not enough snow anymore so will stick to summer tires for now. From Netherlands :) Only riding with Michelin on all my cars :)
