What about RTO approvals. and insurance. Insurance companies will not insure it. Also what about safety ? Fire is easily possible. Also in case of rains or water seepage, batteries will catch fire.

You had removed the Engine with clutch. But you will change GEAR 1 to 5 & Reverse without Clutch sychroniser will break in Gear box.

There is no engine now ( which spins continuously even when accelerator is not pressed , that's the reason a clutch is required); the electric motor on the other hand stops when accelerator paddle is depressed, so gear shifting is possible without clutch. I hope u understood

These jugaad are nothing short of time bomb. Though I appreciate the innovation, simply one accident and leakage in the battery puts everyone in the risk. Zen is not known for its strength though. When EVs are designed, special care is given to protect the batteries physically along with various fail safe system. Also lead acid batteries are not good for EVs. They have poor performance. The weight to power density ratio is poor as well.

@@alphaoffrance617 battery car conversion may feel like a good option now but it is not. The difference is that you will pay one shot in electric and for combustion engine it would be recurring. Even if you buy a new ev, after 8 years the battery degrades. Battery is half thr cost of car. My suggestion would be to stick to combustion and wait for hybrid cars that have both battery and combustion engine. The hybrid cars have better mileage around 35-50.

He had the option of getting Mahindra e2o, 2 or 4 door model which is a far better car. Upto 120 km Range. With better interiors, battery safety. Available in Mahindra First choice at 3 to 4 lacs

Highly appreciate the effort.But converting ICE cars to EV is highly risky affair specially in our hot & abusive environment...these are time bombs without any stringent testing... Converting 2 wheelers is ok... Anyways Congratulations for the efforts. 👍
