I must have watched Equilibrium 50 times since it came out! its the real Gem of this list. Your top 3 movies are well known and appreciated movies, but Equilibrium is the underrated king of Sci fi

I have to give it to you. The way you talk about these movies is really great. I've seen all but 4 movies on your list and hit all of them spot on. I am an action writer and love action films. Great list! Totally agree with you on The Signal, hidden gem that goes places I did not expect and I really enjoyed it. Just watched Sweetheart and it was a great creature feature with a few added wrinkles and the same goes for Freaks, I didn't really know anything going it and was surprised by it.

I've seen all of them, been re-watching - saw bottom 4 past week and I keep hovering over Minority Report. Been spending a lot of time going over The Outer Limits (1995) episodes again.

I've seen about half of these, but overall this IS a great list. Minority Report is absolutely amazing and just shows how well Spielberg films hold up and your recommendation of it shows how deep your love for great sci fi is. Hell, putting Groundhog Day into this list is remarkable.

The first time I saw my dad cry was during ET. that movie is important to me because as a child I had never seen my father cry until the scene where ET is dying. Killer list Roughneck! Game Over man...Game Over

Wow is mt first thought. This has got to be the best list I think I've seen you put out, and that is saying a lot. That said I won't take up much space here but though I would also recommend to people a couple movies on here that I thought were really good and maybe not known by many. What happened to Monday was one I also took forever to watch which I regret. The whole movie is full of fast paced action with a good story that surprises you the further you get into it. Equilibrium is also a really good action movie especially for being an older movie. I am going to be sure to go watch it again as it has been a while. Hope the remodel of the new place is coming along good can't wait for your next video.

My favorite genre is SyFi and most of these on this list I have seen and loved. When will the next time you will put out another list like this one only more current? I need more eye candy 😍. E.T and Minority Report. Loved What Happened to Monday.

This is a pretty good list thank you!! I'm a devoted fan of Scarlett Johansson but I never could quite figure out what Under the Skin was about so I appreciate your breakdown (haven't watched it). Back to the Future and ET are classics and maybe you could create a Sci-Fi Classics list and a Sci-Fi list - I know that Event Horizon is more Classic than current but I still want to re-watch it and wouldn't want it on a classic list. And of course all of this is restricted to what is available on Netflix. Freaks is a great concept-sci-fi movie that essentially forces you to watch it until the end and then you have to rethink the entire movie which is fantastic. I love love Noomi Rapace and What happened to Monday was fantastic! V for Vendetta is a marvelous movie, though I don't quite get how you slot it as sci-fi. I mean there is a little sci-fi back-story, but that doesn't really define the film beyond some reveals. District 9 was definitely sci-fi, the story arc was pretty exhausting to watch though I thought. Perhaps it was the pacing, not sure, I was way too identified with the struggle of the movie. I suppose you could put Inception in Sci-Fi, the mechanics of what they do is definitely sci-fi, but what they do besides the mechanics is like the best psychological thriller, mind-bending and fairly high-brow concepts! Minority Report has it all pretty much. Futuristic, sci-fi, psychological thriller, breaking the Matrix type stuff, Scavenger Hunt, Puzzle Solving, high paced action and messy believable characters and...wait for it...Tom Cruise. I've never seen anything as fascinating or perfect as The Matrix. In my mind this is a pillar of Sci-Fi. Putting this on your list is like showing us a series of high performance cars and just throw in a hot naked woman in the middle with no warning. I don't know if there were every any movies before this that had such excellent action choreography and Keanu Reeves is by far the best kinesthetic actor to ever live. Oh, and I figured out why Back to the Future and ET irritated me earlier. These are very appropriate family films, so BTTF is a great teen movie and ET is a great kids movie (other ages may love it to, but definitely aimed at the target audiences I mentioned).

What Happened to Monday ... great Movie (Just saw a couple days ago), not as good as Orphan 8, but Noomi Rapace does an outstanding job. This would have been an excellent series.

I know exactly what you mean about Peter Dinklage not playing a little person. Same as in Pixels and Days of Future Past, the fact that he's small is never referred to and isn't anything to do with his character. I love The Dink for that, he's just a really talented actor who happens to be small, instead of playing "the little guy" in everything. That's proper representation.

When I saw Freaks it wasn't anything that I expected, immediately became one of my favorite of all time movies

I just watched Rememory and it was great. I cried a lot because I'm sensitive but I truly enjoyed it. Peter is so great and I love that they paid homage to Anton Yelchin who was a fantastic actor who died too soon.

Just watched Event Horizon 1st time for Halloween, great flick! Glad you put The Matrix, maybe my fav movie.

"Equilibrium" is supposedly what the phrase "gun kata" developed from. (Think "John Wick" and "The Matrix") As for "Starship Troopers" don't get me started it was NOT "Starship Troopers". Called anything else it would be an expensive SyFy Channel movie knock-off, a lot like "Battle of Los Angeles". It's telling that Heinlein's widow made them take his name OFF the movie.
