Mmabatho Montsho (Lumka from Generations) came to our coffee shop where I was a waitress in Bloem. Obviously, people were looking at her and the waiters and staff were happy to see a celebrity in our shop. She was so rude and angry and she asked to speak to the manager. Luckily the owner was there and told her that if she's not happy, she can go somewhere else.

Wow SA celebrities 🚮. I saw Noami Campbell and she was tired of taking pics with people when I came, she politely said, “I’m sorry honey I can’t anymore, I’m tired I just need a drink”. I wasn’t offended at all I let her be. I don’t get why SA folks have to be rude. I’ve personally never bothered for SA celebrities. I do give them that “I know you from somewhere look” at first, as soon as it registers in my head who they are, I keep it moving. Sorry to all shame

Why do you guys even care for these people, because in essence you fund their lifestyles. If you don't watch, buy or attend their shows, who are they? Really, this is Africa, I like us the 70s&80s generation even 90s, hey we will humble you, after all you don't feed us, we feed you. @@user-ti4iz7tq3g Actually Demakatso they do, you're correct but it's in the how, I'm sure you get angry when people responds to you after all your approach was nothing short of wonderful and courteous. And unfortunately if you're not a celebrity like me, that is a choice we made, to live our lives and mind our business without fail normally. However when you choose to be celebrated and recognise and enjoy such attention, please don't be mad and rude when people are doing exactly what you wanted. My thing is boundaries, people approach another being with respect, shoving your tongue down at a celebrity or anyone for that matter or approach a person in a way u wouldn't like to is a no no. But they thrive and get paid by how much likes, love people show them but within reason people and actually that's what they sign up for and wanted, there's parts of my job I hate but guess what I signed up to do all the parts therefore I must assign to my faith. But that doesn't give my bosses or clients to treat me with disrespect and everytime I do it, I must do it the way I'm supposed unless I'm sick then refrain or notify people respectfully, I'm under the weather today, please excuse me or bare with me . Approach is everything in all our jobs caz we chose them, were not imposed on us for whatever reason. Not fighting madam, just putting my side and thank you for yours, have a wonderful day ahead 😊✌🏾

We ran into Shugasmakx at a hotel in Welkom a few years ago. My younger brother asked to take a picture with him, but I somehow didn't save it. So my brother ran back to Shugasmakx and asked to retake the picture and i got it right this time. Both times Shuga posed with my brother as if he was his best friend.

Ntokozo Mbambo is another one. I actually got to meet Andile Jali in Durban at the workshop. He was so nice and patient and took pictures with my friends and I. Maybe he was upset when he encountered this particular fan, generally he’s so nice. My worst encounter with a celeb was with gamakhulu GC AKA Khaya Dlala. My friend was catering for the UZalo crew for a scene they were shooting near my place of work at the time, I was not even a huge fan but my friend insisted that I go and say hi. He blatantly ignored me. Nokc aka Nosipho ended up saying hi to me and she was super sweet and appreciative.
