In the process of raising Jungkook, Jin has also grown up so much. Let's not forget that Jin is the maknae in his family, but he stepped up to the challenge of being the hyung to six boys. Korean culture puts great emphasis on respecting elders, so the eldest in a group more often than not has authority. Whatever the group dynamics of BTS now is, it is a reflection of the kind of relationship their eldest nurtured within the group. I can't even begin to imagine how different the dynamics of BTS would have been if the eldest hyung was a different person. Jin is the perfect hyung -- he is responsible, reliable, and firm when needed, but he is also a hyung that is approachable, fun-loving, and playful. I may not know what goes on behind the scenes but I can't imagine Jin using his age to demand respect and authority from the rest of the guys. Whatever respect they give Jin is something he rightfully earned by being the beautiful soul that he is. PS I always think about how Jin convinced JK to stay in BTS when the maknae felt homesick and wanted to quit. Jin welcomed JK into his family like a real sibling, cooked him food, drove him to school -- also a reflection of how well Jin was raised by his family. Jin has been raising the bar so high for ideal men all over the world I don't think I'll ever get married.
