Shih Tzu expect a routine schedule with meals, brushing, potty time, walks, and will become distraught if these things are late or absent. These dogs were bred as companions to royalty and they act like it. Potty training can be an issue. Mine wont poop anywhere near its own yard, only at the neighbors.
