I started intermittent fasting after I had my son and weighed 231 lb on a 5'7 frame that was very very willowy. I could go without eating during my window as long as I was able to have some coffee. So I allowed myself to have that coffee the way I normally took it, which was with sweetener and a little creamer. And that seemed to help curb my cravings. I ended up losing 106 lbs and have kept it off for over 6 years. This is just my way of life now

Just because she made a video doesn't make it accurate. This is the worst fasting video I've seen and I have been studying therapeutic fasting for 8 years. This woman takes 500mg of magnesium (an unsafe amount - 310mg max for woman) every night, in addition to the other ridiculous claims in this video. Read Dr Fung or one of the real experts if you want to learn about fasting

Then 2 tablespoons of Trader Joe’s raw almond butter then tea with collagen then some Turkey bacon and 2 eggs That can sustain me for about 4 hours. Sometimes I just eat a late breakfast then dinner by 4-5 pm

Well, she's also very young. If she was 65 like me and appeared to be 30, that would be a flying colors pass. But in any case, she seems to know her nutrition well. I listened to this 46 minute video and did not hear anything false, which is very rare to find among you tube nutrition videos. The only small thing she missed was the question on ACV versus other vinegars, where the question needed to be answered with a question, namely, why would the person want to substitute other vinegars for ACV, in the first place? ACV is particularly good for its containing malic acid, in addition to acetic. Malic acid is super-good for you, it dissolves calcium deposits on your artery walls; it dissolves cholesterol stones in the liver, ... It is probably what gave apples their exaggerated good reputation, tempered by all the sugar they have. But ACV has the malic acid from the apples, and NO sugar.

Stevia and monkfruit do raise insulin. The effect on blood sugar doesn't mean there is no insulin response. Nut pods contain emulcifiers. Protein powders even during the meal are a highly processed food and often contain sweeteners Dr. Jason Fung recommends against all of these things

22:16 The thing that makes ACV different and better than any other vinegar is that it contains malic acid, in addition to acetic acid. I bought a bag of malate about 2 years ago (it is sold in wine-making stores as a wine additive; it makes white wine taste a bit like cider) and it still lasts me, since the amounts one consumes for health are so small. If you put a tiny pinch of malate powder into a glass of water it makes malic acid. If you take a mouthful, your teeth start to hurt right away as it dissolves the enamel fast; so don't do it. If you put a rod of ultra-pure magnesium metal in it, it starts to bubble up (but these are hydrogen bubbles; not carbon dioxide) and it makes magnesium malate (but for this to happen fast the water should be at boiling temperature). I do this sometimes. The hydrogen has additional health benefits; it is probably the most powerful antioxidant. So I get 3 benefits: magnesium, malate, and hydrogen. If the acidity of ACV bothers you, here's something you can do: Save the shells of the eggs you crack, but make sure you buy organic eggs, always. Once you have a handful or two of shells, crush them small, by hand or using a rolling pin or other method, put them into a big glass jar, and pour ACV just to cover the shells. Cover with a cloth and a rubber band (it attracts fruit flies) and let bubble and foam for a few hours. Filter first through a sieve and then through a paper or cloth filter to remove remaining eggshell solids and eggshell membrane fragments. What remains is partially (50% to 75%) de-acidified ACV, with a wealth of calcium and other minerals, good for your bones specially. You can now pour this ACV on your salad and it will taste like cider vinegar in every way except the acidity will now be mild. Delicious, nutritious, and more sustainable than throwing precious eggshells to the garbage. FYI, there will be malates and acetates of mostly calcium, as well as of other minerals in trace amounts, including phosphorous, copper, zinc and manganese. There's magnesium in it, too, but only in trace amounts, so you do need to worry about the calcium/magnesium ratio. Works fine with either white or brown egg-shells. Note that eggshells often have salmonella on them; and although the vinegar will kill them, you can inadvertently spread salmonella around your kitchen surfaces and utensils when working with eggshells, so clean everything well with soap, afterwards. By the way, malate/malic acid is the only dietary substance that gradually dissolves cholesterol stones in the liver (though lecithin helps too). Its presence in blood also helps dissolve any calcium deposits on artery walls (as does niacin). If you don't like ACV, and you don't want to deal with malate powder because you hate chemistry, I think the easiest way to get your fix is by consuming magnesium malate pills. I take two kinds of magnesium pills: magnesium bis-glycinate AND magnesium malate (besides making my own sometimes, for the hydrogen). ((And yes, the hydrogen bubbles up, but at least a fraction of it dissolves into the water, so some of it goes go to the stomach. To argue that hydrogen is a gas and will float up through your body is not a fair argument, as states of matter (solid, liquid, gas, plasma) are states of large quantities of a given substance, in large molecular counts; it does not really make sense to speak of the state of matter of a single molecule. Hydrogen indeed disperses through the body; it can pass through cell walls, through entire organs, through bone, and doesn't even notice the blood-brain barrier; it goes "wherever it wants" because of how small it is. One good thing about hydrogen (H2) is that it neutralizes two hydroxyl radicals at once: 2 x OH- + H2 => 2 x H2O.)) EDIT: By the way, I'm keto-vegetarian (NOT to confuse with "vegan"). To clarify, I'm keto for my health; vegetarian for the environment. I do not believe in any plant-based health claims vegans make. I once had a vegan colleague whose lies I confronted, and who finally confessed to falsifications in their claims, but switched the argument to that "the ends justify the means". As a philosopher, not only do I not believe good ends justify evil means, but I believe that evil means always fail to achieve any good ends; and you can see how the carnivore fad is a consequence or reaction to the hateful ways of the vegan movement. And I just subscribed to this channel; seems pretty good; this is my first comment.

Vinegar has 2 other benefits for those who may have the problems it solves. 1. Acid reflux. Take a teaspoon to a tablespoon of it every morning and night. 2. Internal yeast. Yes we can develope type of yeast that is not good for us inside our bodies. Drinking a shot glass of it and staying away from carbs and sugars of all kinds will help with that. I am sure it has other benefits but these two are ones I have experienced and it helped my body get rid of those two issues.

I have pcos too and had to change my diet (no carbs, no sugar, no dairy, no fast food) to put it under control and lose weight. I’ve lost 42 pounds so far. My hormones are balanced too. I also fast. I do not eat after 4pm and break it at 8am in the morning the next day. I eat a lot of veggies, protein (eggs, chicken) and some fruits. There are some videos about women that put their hormones under control. I had to do my own research :( my diet is pretty much keto. That’s what is working for me. To avoid breaking my fast I drink tea or coffee, and sometimes Coke Zero. But you need to consult a doctor. Always consult a specialist before getting into a diet 💛

How much of the Nut Pods can go in coffee without breaking the fast? And is it only the 'basic' one? Not the vanilla unsweetened one?

Hello Autumn. I fast for about 20 hours Monday thru Friday. Would a drink concoction of water, magnesium, pickle juice, ACV and Vital Proteins Collagen powder be okay during my fasting time?

In terms of the coffee, I recently just learned that if you use really good water, really good coffee and if you don’t 100% grind the beans leave them a little pour you can get that good taste without adding the salt. So I’d like to grind my beans and do it pour over .

So, if you add two or more of the allowable items in the allowable amounts to your water, such as ginger with lemon and mint to your water, does combining them throw you out?

I put these ingredients and ACV in my water vs tea. Not sure what rule it breaks. In the afternoon, I add blueberries and sometimes strawberries with collagen powder
