Most of what I've learned about social media is that trying to argue with someone is akin to arguing with a wall. It doesn't matter if you went to college and are a subject matter expert. There's always someone who will be the poster child for the Dunning-Kruger effect. Removing Facebook and Instagram from my life was one of the better decisions I've made.

I too am aware of the Dunning- Kroger effect. That is why I no longer sell myself short. I know I'm better than I think I am. Just kidding, and I know what you mean.

Facebook is good for finding groups of people with interests like yours. I reject friend requests from people I don't know and occasionally from people I know. I also unfollow most friends and only follow group posts of current interest. Make sure to make it a good use of your time.

On topic: I've had thoughts that confirm those you express here. I even dropped Meta's FB for six months and came back with pseudonym for family and "real" friends only. As for arguing with a wall, I certainly confirm that perspective. I continue to try though because, as Bonhoeffer stated in resisting Nazi power: "To not speak, is to speak. To not act, is to act." Perhaps I will join you in surrender, soon. Now, off topic: I'm also aligned with your perspective on PNW backcountry. Gifford-Pinchot NF and Mt. Adams wilderness is among my favorite places in the world. No need to respond. Just sharing that you make valid points.

It kinda sucks when people you’re close to check most of these boxes. The issue I’ve learned is that stupidity never knows they’re stupid. They refuse to learn and realize that what they do is quite “stupid”. It’s a losing battle trying to help these people.

Yeah, the "binary-issue" people are annoying... everything is about religion/spirituality.... or everything is about race.... or everything is about politics. Like everyone else, I have my own beliefs within each of those three categories, and sometimes, someone will be making a comment from the side that I'm on... _and it's STILL annoying._ *Not everything is about 'left-v-right'.*

Thanks for this insightful video. It's both amusing and thought-provoking to see these 20 profiles dissected. While some are undeniably irritating, it's a reminder of the diverse personalities we encounter online. The 'Keyboard Warrior' and 'Anti-Advertiser' stood out for me. Navigating these interactions with empathy and understanding is crucial, even when faced with negativity. Your humorous take on 'Mr. Laughter' was a great way to wrap up the list. Keep up the excellent work in shedding light on such relatable aspects of the online world. Looking forward to more engaging content from you!

The religious/political and the monothematic are the worst. The are both stuck with one single idea in their head and every conversation leads to that topic. It's like "hey, have you heard that there is going to be a new building in our neighbourhood?" And they go like "yeah, it's gonna have 6 floors, just like the 6 favourite ingredients I use to cook my food" and the go talking about food for the rest of the conversation, if that's their monotheme, of course. And the political religious attribute EVERYTHING to God or the current president. FML.

Thank you for Sharing this video!!! I get all 20 of these people making comments on my KZfaq Channel because they look at my 30-60 KZfaq Short videos and then without researching the entire context of the KZfaq Short in which I used my long-form content to make crazy ass comments without proper context. It amazes me how Millennials and Gen Z have been totally disabled by Social Media Platforms and have absolutely no problem making comments on videos in which they have no Professional or Personal Experience in but tell me I don't know what the hell I am talking about!!! Humans are very interesting because so many of them don't have a life outside of the Internet and Social Media Platforms!!!

Very well done video!🙂 However, pointing out that everyone should have right to their own opinion in a video about stupidity is not ideal. Everyone should have access to the relevant information/facts. Suppose you're a girl (I don't know if you are or not), and I see 10 guys coming out of your apartment - I can have all kinds of opinions. You can be a language instructor, a ballet instructor, a prostitute or whatever. But people can have false opinions about you, even though they might not know you. The same with "Do you think we will ever go to the Moon?" - "naaah, not in a thousand years" (there were people who were saying this)... "do you study rockets?" - "no" - "what do you know about space travel?" - "not that much" - "then what do you base your opinion on?" Instead of saying "I don't have enough information to give you an answer. It's not my field. I don't know. " people have "right to their own opinion" - you see it *everywhere* on social media, and in real life, and it hurts society no end. Everyone blabbing all the time senselessly about subjects they have no idea how they work or interconnect. Commenting senselessly under scientific-oriented videos without being trained in a given field. I seriously believe this way of thinking is more dangerous than wars, and it holds society back. Because out of it stems conflict, wars, backward thinking, stupidity, and so on. People need education and demonstration of facts in the terms they understand, not the terms you think they understand. People come from different environments, backgrounds, families, different cultures and subcultures - some of them don't have access to good education, no wonder they are considered "stupid". They have ignorant parents, and they usually grow up to be ignorant, unless someone/something took them out of that crappy situation. Some of them might come from rich families, and then they usually grow up arrogant, self-centered, self-important, egotistical, and think they know everything. Because they've been brought up with "everyone should have right to their own opinion". Conditioning plays a crucial part in developing one's value system, behavior, outlook, lifestyle, thinking. Once we start bringing up kids with a value system that they should first examine something using scientific method and then give an *informed* assessment, and even better share the findings about something they've studied, you'll start to see a tremendous social progress on Earth. TL;DR - Ability to say "I don't know" is what's missing. If you don't understand what I'm trying to say, I recommend watching some of Jacque Fresco's lectures.

I came to this conversation to evaluate my own position in the matrix. I don't see myself exactly fitting any one, though I can detect that my replies sometimes may reflect shades of a few of them. For background, I typically make simple responses sharing my appreciation of the post a "Friend" makes by sharing the good memories the post inspires, or through similar confirmation of the value I find in the post. In contrast, I sometimes respond (only to people I truly care about, not everyone who shares the view) to extremist political posts by pointing out the logical fallacies it contains, or I offer an "inverted" perspective (change name from a right-wing hero to a left-wing hero, or inverse, with all other facts unchanged) to point out the bias I detect. In my mind, I'm offering critical thinking skills or methods to evaluate judgments for validity, but I admit that some may interpret my comments as ego driven. The bottom line: Where do I fit into this matrix? I guess I'll go through the video at least once more, and maybe check a few more such offerings, if I can find any others. Regardless of what I discover, thanks to the content creator for sharing the information.

As a Professional Troll, I focus mainly on local and country politicians and their statements and the comments of what I call "BFF's" (Blind Faith Followers of a particular Party). There is a fantastic and measurable correlation between the number of stupid and utterly stupid comments by said followers and the Politicians they are in love with. The main difference between a professional Troll and a "wanna be" is a Professional Troll will NEVER reply to a comment made about the Trolls comment.

Well. A lot say comment on here! First. I take it you made this video with sarcasm and irony in mind in the background?! [wink emoji] (as it turned out i can not use emoji's here). Second thing. You are all inclusive here I see. No one left out! [laugh emoji] Third. I wonder about the reason of you making this video. Is it maybe you get a bit fed up with indecencies yourself? (as is completely logical) This one also links back to the first thing. So, I don't know whether it was intended this way, but I can see both the humor and the message in this video! If intended, well done! I enjoyed it! [ flat-hands--placed-on-top-of-each-other-in-front-of chest-emoji] If not, I still enjoyed it...

A few time ago I had one functional illiterate insult me simply because I said “art is not simply subjective”, and for some reason she interpreted this message as if I said that the art on the page sucked. She then proceeded to check my page and insult my art as well, and this according to her, was a proof that “art is always subjective”. Since she decided my art suck, art must be subjective and therefore we keep thousands of artworks in museums just for “subjective” But what puzzled me is that she read my comment as an insult toward her artwork, despite I never said that. 😂 You are wrong by the way, you can use the 😂 emoji on KZfaq ahahahah

The "Anti Religionist" bugs me because I am also religious. I love God my own self. But some make Religion look inappropriate and refuse to deal with whatever the subject matter is. I do realize it is possible the world is coming to and end at some point. However they doesn't mean we should stop discussing important issues. Especially moral ones when we might assist others or other ways of showing our love for mankind and God.

The functionally illiterate sound like the sorts of people that despotic, dictatorial, and totalitarian regimes seem to develop -- and do everything possible to stop them from developing at that point. Let people develop further and they might get self confidence from enterprise, recognize contradictions in official media, and have curiosity about something outside their narrow world of dead-end jobs and stale lives. Really, there is much less difference than you might expect between such supposedly polar opposites as Castro an Pinochet. I have known people who fled both, and they had much the same complaints. This all makes the MAGA world seem ominous.

I have a type that you forgot to add here and its funny because the creator of this video woukd fall into this category. I call it "The Judge" Think of idubbbz when he did content cop, leafy, moistcritical ect. These people hold the belief that they are not only flawless enough but intelligent enough to critique every other type of person with a level of confidence that shows they think they are omnipotent and probably think they are immune to someone deconstructing their personality flaws. They see themselves as qualified to quantify it too. Like this guy holds the opinion that trolls are only slightly stupid meanwhile a gullible person is extremely stupid its his opinion and yet he presents it as factual

I wasn't even aware the king of stupid existed, I guess I am lucky to never have seen one, seems not only stupid but kind of evil.
