You WON'T Believe The Power of "Tempoyak": • 🇲🇾 You WON'T Believe T...
A SUPER fun time traveling around the great city of Kuala Lumpur today, with the purpose of budgeting (the equivalent of) 20$US for all of our food, transport, and fun! Thank you so much for joining us... let's get this day rolling!!
After you watch the video, I have many details and numbers down below... but I do of course include all those things in the video as well (I would say just watch the video instead of reading all this :) )
SO! Thanks again for hanging out with us in KL today, although I've visited Malaysia nearly a dozen times since 2009 (first visit!), it is SO great to be here with Li for this one!! :)
I have never made a video like this before, but as a solo traveler of COURSE I have kept very close track over all those years - I have endless notes on my computer and phone detailing my expenditure for differents towns and countries all over the world. I have noticed that it's a pretty good rough estimate to search online (you can do this before you go of course), try to get a good idea of what a normal hotel room price is, and then imagine that same amount of money as your daily expenditure throughout the trip.
FYI, for this trip, that same idea works out perfectly, and I didn't even have to plan it! Our hotel room was 85RM, and this day our spending (actually we only used 78RM of our 88RM budget) felt fine.
COST OF OUR DAY:
We saved 10RM in the end, but we did not visit any national site (it rained most of the afternoon), and so I assume that the price would still wind up the same (we were planning to visit the Batu Caves, which are free, but getting there one could assume would cost the price of a few commuter train tickets round trip...)
6RM = Breakfast (Bangladeshi food)
2RM + 1 RM = Snacks, Drink
FREE = Metro Pass (Free for the month of July, 2022)
9RM = Lunch (Malay food)
3 RM = Tea after lunch
17RM = One Entire CEMPADAK :)
10RM + 7RM = Dinner (Malay Food) + Fruit Shake
**A phone card for 2 days unlimited internet is about 15RM
**Our flights from Thailand cost (100$US) 450RM each way.
LOCATION:
Rashid's Restaurant (where we had breakfast) is next door to this electronics shop...

So fascinating, I feel like Kuala Lumpur is one of those places that people only stop over at the airport on the way somewhere else I’ve never actually seen it in a video before. I bet in America you would only get breakfast for $20! The food looks so good.

Thank you Joel for showing the unknown, real authentic parts of KL. It's so real. I love the fact that you love the imperfect real parts of the city and speak with such positive vibes about it. I am Malaysian and have not lived there for more than 20 years. I returned often before Covid but unable to at the moment. Watching your videos make me feel so proud of where I come from. I also love the fact the fact that you took your time to record the videos, including the conversations, took it slow instead of jumping from one scene or food stall to another. It makes it so endearing and makes everyone feel, especially me, like I am back visiting where I come from. :)

Yes they usually work 12 hours. That ia why most malaysians do not work in f&b outlets like these. Some bigger shops are using robots

Hi again Deneen, what a day!! Thank you as always for writing :-) as per budget though, no this is definitely not a budget video :-) this is about double the money that I used to spend when I was a “budget traveler!” Salary here is much also less of course, $10-50 a day is almost the entire population of this area’s daily income, which is why it’s not “cheap” to live here, it is (MOST of the time) definitely a very good trip to travel here.

Blessings Livity Unity Light Love Oneness everyone. 😌🙏♾️✝️❤️💚💛 And I said, "O my God, I am ashamed and embarrassed to lift up my face to You, my God, for our iniquities have risen above our heads and our guilt has grown even to the heavens. Since the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great guilt, and on account of our iniquities we, our kings and our priests have been given into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity and to plunder and to open shame, as it is this day. Ezra 9:6-7 You have put me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the depths. Your wrath has rested upon me, and You have afflicted me with all Your waves. You have removed my acquaintances far from me; You have made me an object of loathing to them; I am shut up and cannot go out. My eye has wasted away because of affliction; I have called upon You every day, O Lord; I have spread out my hands to You. Will You perform wonders for the dead? Will the departed spirits rise and praise You? Psalm 88:6-10 But this I admit to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect I do serve the God of our fathers, believing everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets; Acts 24:14 God left him alone only to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart. Chronicles 32:31 Do not be like your fathers and your brothers, who were unfaithful to the Lord God of their fathers, so that He made them a horror, as you see. Chronicles 30:7 -This isn't the first time evil and satan has deceived humanity leading them astray, but it is the last time, God's wrath is coming and satan is scared. -Ascending through infinite light with all my might, a timeless ethereal spiritual journey. -When you know God's truth you can clearly see the evil and wickedness in this world. -God is with the people not the politicians, humanity needs a global revolution for peace, love, and God. -Spiritual strength and mindfulness in presence. -Science doesn't have the solutions to our problems, it's the source of our problems. -Never let the knowledge of man distract you from the wisdom of God. -Activate the light within. -In the presence of infinite creation the mind has trouble comprehending how complex infinity is. In presence your soul controls your mind and it cannot trick you, there is no man made fear in the presence of God. -Time is the minds perception of motion in presence. -Ethereal mysticism in divine dimensions one with light and love.
