(Thanks to ISCOOTER for sending me this bike for review and apologies that I've tried to destroy it).
Discount code: U2eb(-30£)
The motor is 350w, not 500w as stated in this video - sorry for any confusion.
This is the 200+ mile review for the ISCOOTER U2 Electric Commuter Bike.
I've given this bike a damn good thrashing over the last few weeks and even though I had a couple of decent crashes (one serious) it has held up remarkably well so I would 100% recommend it to anyone wanting a good quality, affordable commuter bike.
I've ridden this bike on fields, woodland tracks, up and down kerbs and smashed it into fences so you don't have to - if it is used as a road (commuter) bike ... which to be fair is its intended purpose ... then it will perform very well for you for many years.
Currently it is a crazy low price considering the build quality so I'd say to anyone seeking to buy an electric bike at a good price this is definitely one to seriously consider - I love it.
Thanks for watching - check out my other videos.

Crikey Rich,, I can just imagine that crash. Did the guy feel bad about what happened . Glad your not more injured than you are and can still function, if not a bit more slowly. I would love an electric bike for all the reasons you state. With it helping you on the harder bits of the ride, it makes the whole ride far more pleasurable and making rides further afield more possible. Also, that old style seat is a must. The seats they make nowadays is literally painful, enough to discourage the ride by itself. Another good review Richard and great to see you again !

I just saw the guy driving away in a grey Golf car while I was lying upside down under my bike - and had a good laugh about it. The sad thing is it won't make me trust people any less and I'll probably be a trusting fool until the day I die. With regard to the design of the bike it is something I genuinely like and it is very practical for commuting or road riding.

I'm on almost 600 miles now, I love the bike. I think your pedal and headset may have been a factory issue as I've had zero issues. Aside from being on the second set of brake pads, something I think they should probably look into. I might look into the basket, I have a bag on the front but the basket looks pretty durable and smart on it. Hope the ribs have healed ok now.

I'm glad you like the bike. Yes, the headset and pedal are fine now that they've been tightened up but the pads are getting very low. The wear on the pads is probably due to the weight of the bike since it takes some slowing down when going down steep hills (due to the weight of the bike). The front basket weighs close to 3kg so it's not a lightweight option but it is extremely strong - I use it for foreign parcels when I ride to the local Post Office if there is something which can't be collected by Royal Mail. I think my miles are around 370 but I use this bike and my mountain bike for different rides. I wish my mountain bike went as fast up the hills as the electric bike and I wish the electric bike was as light as my mountain bike but neither of those things are going to happen, lol

Crikey Richard, that sounds painful. But as blokes say - at least the bikes alright!😂 Good review and I do like the look of the bike, quite traditional.

Yes, I do genuinely like the design of the bike and whenever I suffer a major crash I always worry about how the bike / car has held up then consider what injuries I've been afflicted by, lol

...apparently, it's pronounced 'EYE' SIN WHEEL...I love the front carrier on yours - so THAT"S what that four bolt bracket is for!! I bought one and after a few weeks, I sent it back (at my own shipping cost!) - due to the serious safety issue of the pedals being way to close to the front fenders. Just TRY pedaling around a corner whilst pedaling! I lost control TWICE when my toes hit the fender resulting in a loss of control. Why would the company produce an otherwise great bike with this sort of safety defect? I even wrote to the company directly with a diagram showing them how this situation could be rectified - by rotating the front fork forward a couple of inches (with the handlebars correspondingly, backwards a bit. But, really - why couldn't they have made the FRAME a bit longer to preclude this problem? What were they thinking? The price of the bike was very reasonable, and I actually thought of having the post re welded myself - or even having the main steering post moved forward. So sad... This COULD be the perfect Dutch-style 'city bike' if it had a bit 'longer frame' to remove the contact issue! Cheers from Toronto

Yes, there has been lots of people mentioning the pedal / front wheel issue but I've honestly not been bothered by it, even when turning tightly at speed. However, I've spent years being clipped into tiny SPD Shimano pedals on my mountain bikes so I now naturally use the ball of my foot on the pedal instead of the middle of my foot. It would definitely be an issue if more of my foot stuck out beyond the pedal. At the point of writing this I've done over 300 miles (approx. 500km) and never had a tumble due to catching the front wheel with my feet but I can definitely appreciate how that could happen very easily. As you say a longer frame would ensure that there was no issue with the distance between pedals and front wheel. Like yourself I've no idea how that issue wasn't picked up in the design stage but the average shoe size in China is only 5.5 - 6.5 according to Google.

To be fair after 200 miles a running service should be carried out which should involve checking and adjusting the head set and the brakes as they have now bedded in. 20mph? To be road legal it’s supposed to be limited to 15mph ish under pedal assist but you should be able to limit the speed via the display panel settings.

Yes, it's now got over 300 miles on the clock and since I crashed it one of the wheels is a bit bucked. While I've been able to straighten it sideways the shape of the wheel is still slightly egg-like now so I am taking it to a local bike place to repair and replace the brake pads / check all joints and make sure everything is torqued correctly etc. since I like to have a bike running sweet. With regard to the speed it came from the manufacturer limited to 15mph but that was easily changed since I'm not going to run around on a bike which isn't working to the full potential. I live in the country and most of my rides I don't even see a car on the roads let alone anyone who is going to snitch about going over 20mph, lol - in a city it's very different since there are many vehicles and pedestrians to consider.

Hey! Great review really helpful. Can you use the motor without pedaling once you are going?
@ThousandYardStare
@ThousandYardStare 12 күн бұрын
Yes, there is a 'throttle' which will allow you to use the bike under electric power without pedaling. I use that when I'm tired and on a relatively flat road.

Nice one @@ThousandYardStare What about obtaining part's?
@ThousandYardStare
@ThousandYardStare 12 күн бұрын
@@miles8169 Parts for bikes are interchangeable so if something breaks you can just add something compatible. I need a new gear shifter as I hit a lamp post a few days ago and it broke but I've just ordered a 7 gear shifter from Amazon for around £13.

Unfortunately I still feel like I'm 14 years old in my head but my 50+ year old body sometimes lets me down. I'd love to be 90 and still riding and crashing.

Ribs can be painful when broken but I've broken the ribs on my right side on two separate occasions (including a broken sternum) then this crash broke them on the left - it's not the end of the world and if I could break anything again I'd rather it was ribs than something which would affect my life too much like legs or arms. Bones heal quite easily so it's only a short term inconvenience.
