I own a 00 cr125. It’s an absolute machine. Front end is a bit harsh, but the rear end is like a cloud. I absolutely love my 00

Man, I’m looking at buying a cr125 year 2000. Decided to do some research, 5 minutes in I have all the info someone could ever need about a new design year etc. Great work… keep making these and I think your channel will continue to grow! Thank you!

My buddy had an '01 CR125 it was a little slower than my 1999 YZ125 but I thought it cornered really good and was blown away by hondas fit and finish. At the time I hadnt realized how high quality Hondas actually were

In 1983 I think it was, I worked at a Honda/Yamaha shop. The Honda Motocross bikes were much much better than the Yamahas.

I’ve owned my 00 CR125 since 2002. What I’m scratching my head on is my suspension is all Showa and I never changed it. Also yes damn near bullet proof. I just did my first bottom end on it. Got 24 years outta it and raced pretty hard. Also, I think I’ve put 1 set of fork seals in ever. I blow them out on my 2019 CRF 450 at least once a season.

Back in 96 I bought a YZ125 from a Canandian national pro rider. He was sponsored by Yamaha Canada so the bike was tricked right out. At the time I also had a 89 CR125 and a buddy had a 91 CR...My YZ was head and shoulders above...Amazing bike

My cousin had a 97 cr125, I wanted a 1998 yz but they were sold out. I got a large craftsman toolbox free with my 98 cr125. My cousin would always beat me play riding but I figured it was a lack of skill on my part. We swapped bikes the second time I rode with him. My bike sucked. I was so bummed. I had pro-action do the suspension and had the motor done. It was competitive. In 2000, I rode the yz that won the b class championship. Motor and suspension by pro circuit. That bike was so easy to ride. It went wherever I wanted, the track bumps disappeared. No vibration like mine. The motor had more power everywhere. I mean full bottom to overrev, the yz was better. I gave myself credit for staying top five with such a turd.

Love your vids dude! If I could suggest a topic- the 1996-7 Suzuki RMs. It was an interesting period with Jeremy McGrath finally leaving Honda for Suzuki and Roger Decoster becoming the team leader. Even the rm80 got a new rear fender!!! I was in high school and couldn't buy those bikes but I read the magazines.

When the aluminum frame was introduced, Honda also stopped contingency money. For two years you saw Zero Honda's at California races. The frame was too stiff and there seemed to be power issues. A friend won one in 1998 at a CMA, Arron Pipes contest. He sold it just like that. Bought a Yamaha

I have both a 99 yz 125 and a 99 cr 125. You are spot on with the fact that the cr is an absolute turd compared to the yz, but with some minor mods the cr will pace and sometimes even pass my yz. Right now my cr is blown up so i haven't had the chance to ride them back to back, but the cr has absolutely no midrange and takes a lot of clutch to get going if you aren't already holding it wide through a corner. My track has a few technical corners and the yz will just rip right through them because it has so much midrange. You always need to be shifting the yz, but the cr will rev forever.

Another great vid! I remember reading somewhere that when they switched to the aluminum frame and the 5-speed they had problems with some ghost shifting and the triple clamps would get stuck on the frame when turned to the stops. It was a great looking bike tho.

I rode one all day yesterday, funny you say ghost shifting cause I was thinking that I swear it grabbed a couple gears a couple times…. Must be some truth to it

Again, awesome content Blaze! Your in depth look into the smallest details of these machines impresses me. I was wondering if you could do a look into everything 90's in motocross, to the crazy colour combinations in riding gear and bikes to those amazing Team Tuff bikes that we the rage in the nearly 90's. Oh and don't forget some of those Team Rad 'n' Bad posters! Keep up the great content Blaze.
