Just entering into this magical place gives a vibe of being travelled and transported here through a time machine! This bakery is not any other common bakery that you see often but one with a solid base, a solid history to be precise. Being awarded the 'Urban Heritage Award' is not its only accomplishment and contribution to this city. This bakery used to and is still feeding people in the morning, noon and evening, all at affordable prices, and it started way before than Vada Pav.
This Bakery was the only bakery that kept opened during the 93-94 Mumbai Riots in the area and helped and fed people. And once again it helped people with food during 2005 Mumbai floods, along with the government of Maharashtra.
