As a Swedish person I think I would recommend this video to anyone trying to learn Swedish, although I wouldn't actually mind people speaking swedish with a American or British accent because i would still be able to understand what you are saying even if you pronounce things incorrectly.

I agree. I am British English and it is really offputting hearing an American accent. A Swedish English accent would be better and I'd like to learn Swedish from a Swedish person.

I find that it would be very helpful if the words were used in a sentance because many words have double meanings.

In the case clear nouns, the absence of the indefinite article "ett" / "en" makes it also next-to-impossible to have any idea about the definite / plural forms.

Excellent video. Only some words are mispronounced.. att rosta (to roast) is pronounced in the video like att rösta (to vote). "Black" (svart) is being pronounced as "difficult" (svårt). Generally a few å/ä/ö words have this issue with mispronounciation but otherwise this is an excellent help for A1 to B2 learners to revise their knowledge. But careful with misleading pronounciation for the new learners..!
@marinavicfors9469

This is amazing. Only where there are ä/å/ö etc sometimes when both words exist the pronunciation is swapped. It basically pronounced år (year) as är. I would guess something went wrong in their data.

I like these vocabulary videos as it is the fastest way to understanding and basic speech. Too bad that the words are not ranked from most used to least used. Words like 'New Delhi' are hardly used in Swedish so should be at the end of the video.... Also, I have a hard time believing 'New Delhi' is part of the Swedish 2000 you *must* know.

Lot of these are not "2000 must know". Like rare animals, very niche information. Seems like they have been picked partially at random, then just call it "for beginners" randomly

I don't know what some of these animals and flowers are even in my native language... or how they look like. Very useful for a beginner, eh? Also nouns should have en/ett. In case of double meaning, there should be a picture or a sentence to clarify the English word meaning

So stop crying and jumping around the language channels and start learning from scratch, how to read consonant-vowel combinations, e.g. rt, rd, st, stk, stj, etc .; How to pronounce it all, how to conjugate the verbs that are in the first group, the second group, etc., and what endings they have for the tenses you create. And then you will find out that it is a beautiful language. I wish you good luck and perseverance.

@@MonikaPetkanova Before you jump into cliches and simple sentences, knowing how to read and pronounce consonants and their combinations is an absolute must. The pronunciation of g, k, sk before the vowels e, i, y, ä, ö is specific to the Swedish language. Instead, they are normally read before a, o, u, å. In addition, there are consonant compounds st, stj, skj (sju, stjärna, skjorta), tj, kj (tjugo, kjol) dj, hj, gj, lj, lg (hjärta, ljus, djur, älg) as well as rd, rg, rs, rt (bord, svart, torsk, berg). Once you have mastered the technique of reading this and then pronouncing it, it will be much easier to learn later on. If you don't practice it, your progress will be much slower and learning will be frustrating.

Макар че не може сериозно да се твърди, че като знаеш френски, испанският или италианският сериозно са те затруднили. Трудностите са в глаголите основно. Ако трябва да наемам преводач обаче, бих наел някой, който знае само един език, но много добре, вместо специалист по няколко.
