2001-2005 Honda Civic REAR Wheel Bearing Replacement

4 жыл бұрынOn this episode, I replace the right rear wheel bearing on a 2003 Honda Civic EX. This process should be the EXACT same on 2001-2005 Honda Civic EX, DX , LX, VP, SI (equipped with drums). This process should be very similar for 2003-2007 Honda Accord (equipped with drums) and 2002-2007 Honda CRV.

My bearing race was stuck on axle shaft. Had to chisel it off. Very good video.

Oh wow. I haven't had one do that to me. I had a Fit last week that was super hard to come apart. I thought it was going to pull the bearing apart

Nice video! I had to do my drivers side rear wheel bearing a few months ago and I need to do the other side this weekend. Only difference is I put discs on the back so I needed to take the rotor off to get the hub off. Very easy and simple job that anyone can do, took me about a half hour and it would have been even quicker if I still had drums.

I ordered one without the ABS ring, will that make a difference? Is it un-installable?

Uninstallable, no. But if your car has abs and you install a non abs hub, you will have abs light on

GOOD VIDEO! IS IT NECESSARY TO USE AN IMPACT GUN OR CAN I JUST USE A TORQUE WRENCH ON THE AXLE NUT?

It shouldn't be too much. I think the computer says it pays less than an hour. The labor would depend on the shop rate where you are

Why to even bother with torque wrench for wheelbearings..Why car manufacturers require to replace axle nut every time you remove it? 🤔
