How to replace the front drivers side u-joint on a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9l 4x4. Should be the same procedure for years 1998-2001 and possibly more years.

Thank you, man!!! I've been struggling with replacing the U-joints on my dodge for a solid 4 hours straight and I made zero progress. All of the other videos use air hammers or a special tool that I don't have!

i see they have front axle shafts with the u joint already in it and all new, would that be the best idea as to avoid all this? I will be replacing the front wheel hub on the same side anyways.

why didn't you just drop the outer tie rod to get to the hub bolts?

To be honest, I just went to my local auto parts store and they gave me the correct size after I told them all the specs for my truck

Handy-Mann oh ok thanks a lot planing on doing this cause the trucks it just starting to make that slapping sound and it’s so annoying your trucks looks the same as him the same side as well his driver side it’s getting bad

Should have just nleftbthe bolts in a ND hit the bolts to remove the axels just unscrew bolts a bit and use the threads in the bearing to push the axles out

Umm... Sooo... I'm pretty positive I have that exact same bottle jack, and on very top of bottle jack is like a giant bolt that "Unscrews" to give you more height
