Those reflector headlights are retty damn bright.

With a good halogen setup, maximum intensity should be close to HID ; the extra brightness of the HID bulb is used for width and the high beam. Also the projector tend to be less efficient but has a better light pattern with a sharp cutoff, so the maximum intensity is where you want it. An halogen bulb is not bright enough to use one but an HID bulb is. This video is just another proof that most OEM headlights are badly designed, all halogens and HID's should look like this ! EDIT : love the OEM+ setup with the NightBreaker bulbs and factory look !

Beautiful oem+ look retrofit. The front end reminds me a lot of my old 2nd gen TL, I miss that car

I didn't catch what bulbs were used? Are they Osram Nightbreaker Laser?

HID in these times? Why not LEDs? Anyway, great job.

HID allows our customer to run a preferred color temperature (4300K) - not to mention you have full serviceability which is key for our out of state customers. When a bulb or ballast fails in a few years its an easy swap.

Because LEDS still can’t compete with HID’s…
