You're joking! That's my old car, only sold it in October 2021 so not even 2 months before you reviewed it. So good seeing it again! Loved that thing. Hope it's still taken care of and kicking about.

Id never buy a car with a torque coverted 5 speed ever again, after having owned one. Manual it is for me...

Yeah fair enough, the zf5 isn't the best but the 6 and 8 are excellent.

Mate I've owned 2 E90's brand new. What memories! "I drove it like I stole it" on the motorway. Never let me down once. I crashed a W202 though. Just not the same. Anything better is super car territory.

@@KiwiCarLife Lol, they are. I drove a brand new version of the one you test drove. It was placid compared to my e90 at the time. I remember the Gti Golf 5 had no show as well. I lived in Johannesburg where there are straight motorways similar to the US. You can really open up the cars on those roads. I haven't driven the G20 so I can't compare nor a new Mercedes Class. Out of curiosity, why would you spend 20K+ on Euro S? Why not just buy a faster and more nimble CL1?

Coz I want a car that's still nice to live with and feels relatively modern. A cl1 is raw sure, but it feels so old

Tbh that tally also included maintenance, a high asking price and some needless upgrades. Currently patching up a CM2 myself and thusfat ive only sent about 6k and its almost back in shape. A intake and exhaust will not cost as much as id spend on a CL1 which i would then have to import sight unseen. Lets face it, the JDM imports are stupidly overpriced. 24k for a grade4 FD2?..

@@KiwiCarLife nice, I have been in an auto one and it was nice. Personally tossing up between a e46 330 manual either 4 door or 2 door or a cl9 manual. Both have similar performance potential and comfort for daily driving when modded nicely. My current "fast" mk8 fiesta st stage 2 with trash either of them and send them crying to mummy easily though. But it also does that to an a45 amg so yeah! Just it has uncomfortable seats for daily and long distance driving.

@@olihaub personally I reckon accord if u wanna do long distance driving - better fuel consumption and imo more comfortable seats. But a 330ci is probably becoming a collectible. Selling for over 15k here and they hardly ever come up

The biggest downside to the e46 in NZ was that it was VERY rare to find a manual. I think i only ever saw one. Out of all the cars i owned, i only ever loved 2 of them, a manual AE111 with the 4age blacktop, and the e46 330i. Dream car is e46 m3 or even the next best thing, e46 330ci manual.

Yeah I'd love a 330ci manual too, but the last one I saw for sale was 20k and had an awful beige interior
