Hey Chevy fans! Here we have a 2003 Cavalier. This is the vehicle behind my most recent guess the gauges video. It is a one owner and it has 40,000 original miles.

Proud single owner of a 2003 Chevy Cavalier with over 408,000 miles on the original engine and transmission. Dubbed "The Dangermouse" it's a total work horse, giving 100% through nearly all kinds of weather. Single best car I have ever owned.

Well wow, I would buy that to daily, if I had the space and need right now. There’s something about 80s, 90s, and early 2000s cars that I love, especially basic cars - they were honest, inexpensive, utilitarian, and all around great! This is wicked clean. 40,000 miles! It barely looks broken in!

I’ve had this car for over a year now and I honestly never knew that this car was seen as a “bad car”. I think it’s great fun, fast and reliable!

Watching this on Tuesday February 27th, 2024 with the exact same car. Mine has 113,000 miles on it, the only person to drive it was my grandma before me. The heat and ac still work. Haven't had a single problem with it exept for rust because of where I live. But everything is stock still and besides basic oil changes I haven't had to do anything. Very nice car for the normal, American working class people.

Properly maintained, these 2.2 liter Ecotec engines can easily last 300,000 miles. I have a 2005 with 190,000 on it and it is still very reliable.

Just bought mine in rockport tx, 350 bucks has the sporty rims, takes off like its brand new!! I mean i love my beater cavalier, looks rough but runs very well. I mean mine is all orginal, spoiler and black. It takes off pretty fast and it is a good a to b car heck i driven c sometimes to rockport to corpus christi and back! This and my chevy blazer was the best chevy vehicles of the early 2000s.

I miss my Cavi. I bought it new, in 2003. It was a base model, except for the CD player. It had the 5 speed stick, manual windows, and door locks. I had after market automatic door locks, for the front, and a remote starter put in. I bought it new, for $12500 CAD. I drove it for 13 years. Can't buy a new car for $12500 anymore.

Clean door jambs are actually a really big sign for the health of a unibody car. Leaves and other junk retain moisture and eat away at the paint and eventually the metal.

These were much bigger on the inside than the Cobalt... Chevy did that crap in the mid 2000s with the 06 Impala and the 2013 Malibu when they reduced the rear legroom from the previous models and it hurt sales a little.... I've always liked the Cavalier TBH!
