Nah, the beginning was in the Oregon game earlier that year. If I remember right USC was 3-2 and losing 20-14 at halftime and then just kicked the crap out of them, and every other team they then played in 2002. I will always remember that game, thought for sure they would have lost and it looked like they would, then the "2nd Half Trojans" made their first appearance.

@@Papawill13 I agree Papa...funny you bring up that 02' Oregon game I was thinking about that same exact game..and I felt then after we were had the talent..coaching staff etc other things and lots of good fortune.Were slowly but surely on our way back #Fighton✌✌✌✌✌✌✌

Saw little Matt leinart next to Carson fight on ✌️🏈✌️ Matt kicked ass 2003-04and took us to the Rose bowl against Michigan and won 28-14 fight on ✌️🏈

Iowa could have been up at least 2 touchdowns+ at the half. This game was closer than the end result.

First time I have watched this since the day it was on. It was pretty obvious Iowa had a month and a half off between games. Penalties everywhere. I remembered it being worse.

That little big ten team outweighs your USC team in the trenches and destroyed USC 49-24. Sounds like Iowa destroyed USC in 2019

Wow! Do you know anything about college football? Iowa beat Florida and LSU the next 2 years. And Iowa just destroyed USC worse than USC beat Iowa in this game. Should USC even bother fielding a team next year after their O-line and defense got embarrassed by a far superior team in their own back yard?

Really? Iowa returns opening kick for a TD, then they get nothing until the garbage time score against USC's walkons.....This game wasn't vs one of Iowa's normal out-of-conference patsies they play each year.

Iowa literally led for the first 30 minutes of game time. USC went on a run in the second half. But it was far from domination. I just believe Iowa wasnt used to playing in 80 degree weather and got worn out.

Justin Hren - It was 38-10 before Iowa scored in the last 35 seconds garbage time TD . Iowa got their revenge last year in the Holiday Bowl, but to not admit they got their asses kicked here in the Orange Bowl, is just plain homer-ism.

I hate Pete Carrol and how he ran up the score on teams just like Spurrior. My Hawkeyes had this game but we gave it away. Don't worry Hawks we will get our revenge years later...hahaha.
