Michigan fan, I was at the game and I got to say the USC were pure class, probably the best fan base I got to hang out with. The game sucked but awesome fans!

I was at the next Rose Bowl (Texas vs. Michigan), and I have the same thing to say about Michigan fans. Michigan is now a team I root for. After Texas, of course.

USC fan and alum here. I've always liked Michigan fans until I ran into one on these KZfaq discussion threads, but I refuse to tar the rest of them with that outlier experience. Most Michigan fans are very classy and know their sport. Hail to the Victors! You guys have a noble tradition and I love your mascot. Never mess with a Mustelid! I hope you guys get your groove back. The Big Ten needs a strong Michigan program.

its gonna be very interesing now with USC and UCLA going to the big 10 in two years. USC fan but always got nothing but respect for michigan fans! besides fight on but hearing the big blue fight song is always awesome to listen to. gonna miss the traditional big 10 vs pac 10/12 rose bowl games.

Except they had 1 "championship" over that era of 2002-2008. I'd love to see the '04 SC team vs any of Saban's Bama teams or the '19 LSU team. I'd give the edge to the SEC team just on defense and depth. Those USC teams besides 2008 were "okay" on defense. As a diehard ND fan, my hatred for U$C runs deep but I gotta give respect to the Pete Carrol era. That dude owned ND, every fucking year! Hopefully the rivalry returns this year. Riley has them looking good, a tad overrated but beats those awful Clay Helton years. Hoping ND keeps the streak alive this year. Go Irish!🍀🍀🍀

@@dis6900 Pete Carroll was 6-0 vs. SEC. This USC team opened at #6 Auburn and beat them 23-0. Auburn never got inside USC's 35 yd. line. Then the next year people were touting Auburn as Nat'l. Champs. Please..

This was a very good Michigan team - they had a hiccup at Oregon and got clipped by a field goal at fellow Top-10 team Iowa. USC made them look very average in this game which was a tribute to how good they were. Lloyd Carr even broke the Coaches' poll rule by voting USC #1 even though the coaches had an agreement to vote for whoever won the designated BCS title game (LSU that season).

@@nathaniellathy6559 Bush's overconfident lateral was the play that cost them the game. USC was like 9-1 in OOC games vs power 5 teams in their run you have to lose at some point.

I'm big time USC fan since 72 my parents went to USC and they took me to game's back in 72 I was 5 year's old! Anyway I have always like Michigan always so I would always cheer for them during the season but if they played us in the Rose bowl then I have to root for my team always I have the most respect for them always love their marching band hand's down we beat Michigan in 2007 felt bad for them they Lost in 2004 2005&2007 man they should have best Texas! Michigan was a thousand times better then them! Anyway fight on ✌️🏈

As a Michigan fan, this is one of those "tip your cap" games where you can't complain much. There was no way Michigan was going to win dealing with that DL, and the defense played better than I remembered against two Heisman winners. The 2007 Rose Bowl is the frustrating one. The defense almost pitched a shutout for a half, but the offense was just stretch runs and dropback passing on obvious passing downs. My least favorite Lloyd Carr gameplan (redeemed himself in his finale against Florida).

Keep in mind that that year was one of the last two seasons Michigan has ever beat Ohio State in the past 17 years. Key word: 17 years, right before '04 where legend O. State QB Troy Smith started the next season and changed everything, later winning the Heisman in 2006

I was at the game. USC alum On the endzone where Lienart caught that TD pass. There was two guys sitting to.my right. Michigan fans,As soon as the ball.was snapped on that play one of the guys said to his friend, thats going to be a pass to Lienart, i laughed, a couple of seconds later. I was celebrating like a kid. Fight On!!!!

This is when college football was the shit. Think the playoffs would have been USC, LSU, Oklahoma, Michigan and those would all be battles. All this Saban and Dabo crap has made kids want to gang up on 2 or 3 teams which sucks. Saban is a legend but he needs to move on so we can get the sport back

@@sarco5780 Ken Dorsey isn't throwing on Corey Webster. He was a liability. Same when it comes to the 03 Canes against the 19 Tigers. The teams are largely even talent wise but Ken Dorsey was a liability. He was a game manager. I'll give it to you 03 Tigers and 01 Canes is a much closer game.
