2003 Saab 9-3 Turbo - autumn back roads DRIVING!

Here's a short video showing me driving my '03 9-3SS 2.0t.
To answer to most likely-to-be-asked questions:
-yes it is turbocharged and a 5 speed manual
-yes it is stock other than the lights and exhaust
-the exhaust currently is 2.5" cat back w/ muffler delete
-I am going to install a 3" turbo back Magnaflow stainless system
-I am going to throw a stage 3 (275bhp) ECU tune on it soon

1941paco yes, that's correct. Yes going towards Leeds/Leavitt area is a fantastic drive. I wasn't going very fast due to the fact that my camera isn't very stable in the back of my vehicle. I go to school at CMCC so I am around this area all the time.

The racer project got sold for $200. It's basically all done for. Car videos are what will be happening more now.

lol please save your money!! my buddy has a 9-3 2.0t just like that hes dumped waaaay too much money in... over 4k$ just in "tuning" the saab story. from susp., t3/t4 turbo, turbo back exhaust, intercooler b.s., "stage 2" ecu to local dyno tuning (nevermind maintenance). it puts down a respectable 228 whp and looks great on paper but the gears just do not line up and its soooo heavy. i go out and buy a stock 97 2.0 8 valve jetta for 2k$ and have another 2k to play with so i get the biggest cam i can for the hydro lifters, a good long header, remove power steering, ac and any un-needed wieght, homemade cat-less double glasspack 2.25" exhaust, bigger injectors, and a good e-prom piggy back chip i can tune with my laptop and still have money to lower and get new susp. bushings and ball joints. so i set my rev limit to 7800 and cant be making more than 150 whp and we race from a stop the outcome was sad i roasted him by a bus lol!! the only way he'll ever pull on me is on the highway from at least a 65 mph roll what a saab story

I have about 2500 in it right now (including price of the vehicle and getting the body work and paint done, new tires, exhaust, brakes, etc.) Next is a 3" turbo back exhaust (around $400-500 for the system I will make) and then a stage three Brew City Boost tune which will run around $300. So for around $3500 I'll have a 300whp monster. Then I'm gonna keep it until it blows up or I can't afford to run it any more.

LaPavoniMac highly doubt 300 whp on stock "turbo" but if you get it dynod id love to see it cuz it was really dissapionting when my lil 8v jetta walked off on that thing but even if u do get that much power i know a ls/vtec swapped civic hatch with half the whp would still eat it up. its all in the gears 1st to 2nd to 3rd in those do not line up bogg or spin... plus that thing easily weighs 3300 lbs sooooo heavy. with 300 whp ull be lucky in the low 14 sec q mile maybe 13.9 (doubt it) but my jetta will do 14.4 on any decent street tire probly a good 14.2 on some drag radial. just speaking from experience but i hope u prove me wrong

all you need to run a stage 3 tune (280 ft/lbs torque and 275bhp) is a CAI and a 3" turbo back exhaust.

LaPavoniMac hope to see it work for u. i cant lie i am a skeptic but my buddies is a 99 or maybe he said 97. idk but i guess its a lot different sorry lol. he said yours is a better platform to make power and actually get it to the ground (he owns a shop in RI mostly for saabs and volvos). pretty sure yours is a gm ecotec variant no? in witch case much better motor with a lot more (and cheaper) tuning options. still a heavy car tho but ive always liked the way the 9-3s look minus that super saaby grill and headlight wipers lol a badge-less grill cleans the front end up nioce
