@@Ndroiid i paid $3,000 here in Washington state. I'd recommend looking under the engine to make sure it's not leaking oil.

I loved mine i ended up getting in a wreck but bought a 2004 Suzuki Xl7 with the 2.7 v6 to replace it

Yepp they always tend to leak oil but there pretty decent vehicles for the price

Hello 👋 :) i have two 2nd gens (grand vitara and the stretched version the XL7) and had a 3rd gen as well. I prefer the 2nd a lot more the 3rd gens seem to have a lot more electrical problems compared to the 2nd gen and the 3rd gen isnt a full frame like the 2nd gen the 3rd gen is a unibody so i don't know if i would trust it off road as much either.

What got me thinking was someone said that the 3rd generation G.Vitara had a central diff lock, while the other had just low range, hence it was better, Is that true? And about the 2nd generation G.Vitara, how good is it on road? I live in the city but visit every week my parents who live a mountainous village so I won't just need it for off road, but for some decent on road performance as well. Cheers :)

No problem and from what i know the 3rd gen doesn't have diff locks either. I drive my 2001 Suzuki xl7 60 miles a day to work and back i have gutted my catalytic converters for more power and better fuel mileage. I usually drive anywhere from 70-80 mph on the highway with no problems you will notice that in high winds it can be a little swervey as it's a smaller suv. This Grand Vitara i no longer have anymore just have parts off of it i tried to avoid a deer and swerved to miss it and rolled it. :( but still have my XL7 and will never get rid of it it's extremely reliable the only thing I've had problems with is the timing chain and ac compressor went out but it has right around 240-250k on it.

It's just a factory Suzuki Keyfob i bought on ebay :)

I just put it back in there and lived with the check engine light to be honest lol they make a thing on ebay that screws on to the o2 sensor to make it read differently and avoid the check engine light

Mine came factory with it might just been a package option

It's not to bad i would say around 18 19ish on the highway

Thanks :) i picked up this car from a friend for 700 needed a timing chain kit install and that was it. I sadly rolled it and only had liability only so just parted it out for the most part for my other 2001 Suzuki Xl7
