If your your 2004 - 2009 prius experienced bad smell when the air conditioning is running. The likely cause is your evaporator is dirty and requires to be clean. Cleaning the evaporator will also help your AC perform better and colder air. Remember to check if your air conditioning system has freon.

Thanks for the video. FYI, when I was putting the carpet back in place, I realised that you can actually reach the outlet tube just by reaching over the left-hand corner when the carpet is in place...might be a bit more tricky to catch the liquid coming out but not impossible.

cool! do you think an endos checking could be useful to clean prius evaporator? in your video the job was done totally blindly

You can just access the hose from under the car to save ripping your carpets up.

Wifes ‘21 prius smells like theres a pizza 🍕 and soggy cardboard in the dash. Is it possible I already need to do this?

Toyota told me my compressor went out on my 2008 and shot metal shavings all through the system and everything needs replaced for like $4,000. I am a pretty good diy guy, any recommendation as to what I should do? What can I inspect to see if they're telling the truth or not? Thanks for the great videos btw!
