Excellent video and thanks HG! A couple of minor points to add only because I'm a "Cliff Claven" KZfaq Mechanic/lawyer -Drums are about 95% identical between sides. Difference being only one side has the parking brake. TIP(s): -Take a photo before you start and compare it with the finished work. -DON'T throw anything away until you've finished. It might save you a trip going through the garbage can looking for that one piece that didn't come with the Combi-Kit. -(Agree) ALWAYS buy the Combi-Kit. If something breaks/rolls away, it can be a long walk to & back from the parts store. -If the drum won't spin when you want to adjust the shoes, first thing to check is that the truck is in neutral. I spent about 20 mins trying to figure out what I did wrong before realizing it once. -I grease the backing plate, Axle face (between the studs) and the studs. It could make changing a flat on the side of the highway a heck of a lot easier. I did light mechanical at a K-Mart while in High school and college. Going to do my first brake job in 40 years after this video refresher. Again, thanks for making a great "How To" video!

My 2006 Ford ranger doesn’t have a spot for the horse shoe “screw”/pin to go into the break shoes. Did anyone else have that problem?

Why not just convert it to disk brakes, better stopping power, get rid of that outdated contraption of old model T ford technology.......
