Missed this! Sorry. Really good trouble shooting and finding the solution even though it was certainly a PIA! I'm sure you have the only truck with a K2 style bed and a GMT900 cab. Great result and thanks for walking us through it! :)

After 4 months did the check engine light ever come back on? And do you happen to know if the code the scanner was throwing was a P0332?

I don’t remember the code. But my check engine stays on because of my exhaust. I gave up on shutting it off.
