A knock sensor monitors your vehicle’s engine for unusual pulsations caused by things such as engine knock. If a sensor is damaged or malfunctioning, the engine may run poorly, inefficiently, or only in a low speed safe mode, and may also trigger diagnostic codes. Never really removed anything from a car besides the tires, brakes, air filter, and changed the oil. This video helped so much!!! I thank you ! Best video for this job. It took me longer but I still got it done lol. Thanks again!!

Just wire the bad knock sensor to the good knock sensor. Works like a charm!

Just did this job myself and for anyone wondering. You will have to clear the engine light with a scanner to make it go away if you don’t want to wait for however many key cycles it takes.

Great video. Another thing I do is check for knock sensor voltage after they're installed before I put the manifold on. The knock sensor's are crimped together, even at 15 foot pounds during tightening they will twist at the crimped area.. another joke. Don't use any thread sealant, they ground through the threads.

Hello I just replaced mine for a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe. After I turn it on, the engine sounds and feels rough. Any idea on why that may be happening?

I've purchased a/c delco knock sensors off Amazon... always check them for voltage output before installing, I've had several fail right out of the box. By the way G.M. engineers... you are an absolute joke!
