Chris Kreager Actually, the final nail was in 2006 when Geoff Petrie decided not to renew Rich Adelman's contract. The Kings have yet to make the playoffs since Adelman left Sacramento.

Bart Simpson is gangsta Also, Geoff Petrie had poor drafting where he failed to find successors to those players and like I said, the final nail in their coffin was in 2006 when Petrie decided to not renew Rick Adelman's contract.

Webber is such a damn choker. This game he missed an open 3 to tie and a wide open layup in the last minute. In 2002, he choked away the WCF along with the rest of the Kings. And I'm not even talking about what he did as a college player.

He IS a choker, and that's why he never got a ring, either in college or the NBA.
@Theterminato20134 жыл бұрын
That’s the difference between Chris Webber and clutch PFs like Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett. Unlike those two, Chris Webber was known as a choker in his entire career and succumb in clutch moments and pressure situations. Ppl make excuses for the 2002 WCF being rigged which is true but at the same time, the Kings would of won regardless if they would’ve had a clutch PF like Duncan and Garnett on their team. Go watch Game 6 & 7 in that series and Webber did nothing to raise his game the next level and Mike Bibby was the one hitting all the clutch shots to keep the Kings close. Now watch Game 6 of the 2003 WCSF, and watch Tim Duncan actually raise his level of play and help his spurs blow the Lakers out on their home floor with 37 points and 16 rebounds.

And even with Webber's injury in 2003, they should've beat Dallas. They blew that double OT game and let Nick Van Exel (a 13 ppg guy) score 40, ugh lol

If it weren't for Derek Fisher and a couple plays here and there in this series, it would've been Kings-Spurs in the WCF, and let's be real the Kings would've smoked SA (and I say this as someone who loves Duncan and Pop)
@joesakic916 жыл бұрын
ThatNewPimpTrickGangstaClickAlbum GonnaBeThatFire Shoulda, coulda, woulda. Now the Kings have to mumble even more when the Warriors beat them to the punch for three NBA titles in the last four years.

2002 conference finals, the refs made the Pistons miss 11 free throws? The refs forced the Kings to play hot potato with the ball because they were too scared and shrank under the pressure? The refs caused Chris Webber do what he does best, disappear in crunch time and choke at the end of the game? I say those as an avowed Lakers hater, the Queens did their part to ensure a Lakers victory.
