That sounds like a lot of trouble. I usually just cut the wires to the light. 😉

I have the EXACT same machine down to the color - mine came with the reset connector from the dealership when i bought it. its in my glove box and has been for 19 years. I've never had the light come on, but I have re-clutched and re-belted a couple of times. I am a maintenance junky and my machine still runs and sounds and mostly looks like new...incredible value for what I spent 19 years ago.

Thanks dude! I have not had to do that in years and could not remember! Just to let you know my plug is on the side of the machine right next to the two wire plug that you disconnect as well. Works like a charm! Lol

Thanks. That was super helpful. Worked for me on the first try. I have the 2004 and the 4-pin connector is next to the belt indicator light switch connector. Luckily the guy I bought it from had tucked the reset connector in the storage compartment!

Any tips? I have done this a couple of times and My light still flashing. Did also open the drive cover and belt seem fine and switch was on the on position. I'm getting no luck!
