I’m just so glad you’re making videos again I’d probably be thrilled to watch 10 minutes of you adding air in the tires! Nice truck, glad you’re recovering nicely!

Thanks Hooper...Appreciate that. now you have given me a great idea for my next video...lol. Stay tuned, I have four videos already uploaded and scheduled to go public. I am feeling good to get back in the video swing of things.

Thank you for using genuine Cummins parts. Hate seeing people using parts store knock offs on stuff like that.

You know that's right... no cheap re-pops for a critical item like this. It is a good practice and a small price to pay for reliability. I spend a LOT of time on the road and don't like to break down.

Great video. Just changed a thermostat on my truck and started fluctuating like you said. Looks like I’ll have to put the old one back. Disappointed in the car quest brand that was made in Israel

If only all jobs were that easy! Also I don't think any of my stuff has ever had 9mm bolts, maybe on hose clips but otherwise it's usually 10mm minimum.
@yourbeekeeper4 жыл бұрын
I, too thought 9mm was strange. Wait until you see the video where replace the parking brake shoes... that one more than made up for this easy job...lol.

How did you bleed the coolant?

My cummins always sits at 200°F when warm. I wonder if I should get a tstat that opens sooner? I live in a hot desert. I am also thinking 180° would be ideal.

When it comes to diesels, there's benefit to keeping the engines in the proper operating range. Too cold makes for dirty engine internals. I'm not a diesel mechanic and don't claim any knowledge that I don't obtain from research so I can't recommend if 180 is a good temp for your truck.

he should have flush the radiator system before you worried about the thermostat
@yourbeekeeper4 жыл бұрын
That was a little more involved than I wanted to get into on this trip. The antifreeze is clean and the new thermostat cured the issue....so I will let it ride. Thanks for watching.
