The timing belt stretched and jumped a few teeth over and therefore the valves and pistons were out of time which caused the pistons to hit the valves while they were still open. This is what caused the engine failure.

Aren't honda engines non interference engines? So valves can't collide with pistons.

No, Honda engines are normally interference engines.

the only time the piston hits the Valves when the timing belt was replaced and the engine was not placed in a TDC before installing the timing belt. or the belt slipped from the sprocket which is rare if the belt got loose. The piston/engine is still usable he just need to have top valve replaced most likely the valve is bent the reason why no compression. Leak down will not help if you have no compression on the cylinder. Your wrong about engine is done it just need top head and valve job fixed.

I recommended to the customer several options as to what route they wanted to go with. I recommended a good used engine or to replace the cylinder head and head gasket along with a timing belt kit, etc. I wouldn't recommend reusing the pistons as the pistons still need to be inspected thoroughly if they are still OK and if it can safely be reused without any problems. Any cracks or damage to the ring grooves, etc. I would either do a full job or nothing as I don't want to end up doing the job over again if something were to happen by just replacing the cylinder head. In some cases you may be able to get away with it with just replacing the cylinder head, head gasket and stuff and put the vehicle back into service for some time, but with the mileage on that thing and the resale value of that vehicle being worth less than 1000 dollars the customer figured it would not be worth it to put all that money into it so he ended up junking the vehicle. A leak down test would work, just all of the air would be leaking out through the intake/exhaust system and not hold any pressure that's all since the valves are not sealing properly. As for the timing belt I did not get the chance to get too deep into it, but most likely the tensioner or something failed making the belt slightly loose and allowing it to skip timing on the pulleys and therefore damaging the engine at the end. In short, this video is now a couple years old and the owner no longer has this vehicle as he junked it. Either way the engine would need work in order for it to be a working vehicle again which would not be worth it for the owner.

Hi you every one fist thing first the car has no rpm signal check crank sensor , sounds like timing chain jump or broke I

There is no point in checking for a crank signal since the engine sounded that it had no compression. This vehicle is equipped with a timing belt and had a mechanical problem. I mentioned in part 2 if you haven't watched it that the timing belt may have jumped and skipped teeth therefore damaging the engine entirely. Thanks for watching.

By just listening to the engine when you crank it…i know, something’s wrong on the timing belt.

As a rule of a thumb, you’ve got to replace timing belt @ 90 thou kms whether it’s still good or not to prevent a catastrophic damage to the engine. Honda’s are interference engine.
