You could have drilled hole between that ring into the cam end and put in a basic spring pin to keep it from rotating again.

Really cuz of your video i found my probem exactly cuz we were assuming its a bad pcm /ecu i have a 2.3 turbo mazda cx7 you saved me alot am really happy thumbs up 👍🏻 😊😊

Could that problem ultimately cause motor to throw a rod if you're say stuck in the snow revving high revs

Mazda 2.3 can be a problem when you swap non drive by wire and cable throttle , they use different crankshaft pulley and cam shaft trigger .

Hello. That is a good question. Actually, yes you can drive it like that. However, it would be best to replace the camshaft for anew one or a known good part.

You must check all the basics such as fuel pressure, spark and injector light, lastly compression to begin with. keep me posted.
