What harness did you use your c230 harness or the 3.5 harness

Theyre the same harness theyre the same engine the difference is on the inside i bought a brand new c230 harness from the benz dealer

I got a blown motor on my c230. I have a donor engine( same engine ) . I don't have the key for the donor engine. Would I just swap the ecm from the bad motor onto the donor engine and the key will work?

If youre swapping your engine for the same engine from another car keep your cars computer and use it on the new engine

Great video! I have a question... in my case I have a broken M272 2,5L model year 2006 and I want to swap it right into a M272 3,0L from a donor car (C Class C280 model year 2009). Do I have to on into any modification? Mountings? Accesories? Harness? ECU? In terms of computer, key, ignition map, etc. Thanks!

Nope theyre all the same the only thing you have to do is get the ecu thats in your car now mapped for the 3.0 tune. I sent my ecu to mercedes swap shop and got it changed from a 2.5l map to a 3.5l map

Or just use the ECU from a 3.0...

@@Moneygrip I have a W211 E350 and was told all I need to swap to a M273 V8 was the engine and the ECU from an S Class, E550, or CLS550 with the same V8. All other components are compatible. They've done write ups on the swap at the Benzworld forum...

next time just buy a 3.5L benz and register it to drive on the roads of usa legally and save the hassle of doing a swap... @@Moneygrip

did you get a 3.5L from a SL350 or an slk350? because those make a little over 300hp and rev to 7k rpm

@@Moneygrip i was thinking the same for my 2011 GLK 350 but i dont got the time, but tbh i wish there was more mods for the m273 like i wish they upgraded the m273 with all the stuff with the sl350's m272 and have it make more power, the m273 i feel as if its capeable of like easy 500hp NA

@@Moneygrip ya know i was thinking about actually modifying a m273, theres a spec sheet of how they made the sl350 m272 have a higher rpm, might take a look maybe i can copy paste what they did to the m272 sl varient to the m273.
