It's 87 but also up to 15% ethanol at some pumps, usually just 10% at most pumps. 91 is the best common gas we get with 0% ethanol, some stations carry 93 but not common.

I wouldn't put 87 In a lawnmower anyhow. Nothing to do with performance or compression ratio reasons. But Air Cooled engines run much hotter and can be more prone to preignition or detonation under heavy loads. So I run at least 90 to 91or 93 here in the U.S.

It's a 3.2L VR6. The 3.6 VR6 is slightly better due to direct injection however they are more problematic. 3.2 so far I have 145k and only ever changed the oil on it, never a single issue.

I had a 2004 VR6 GTI 24valve with a 6 speed manual and normal driving never got under 15mpg in tbe city, on the hwy it was around 28mpg. Also piece of advice, don't sell your VR6, you will regret the decision, I know I did.

@@midealautoclub im gonna keep it as long as possible, if i end up going through a motor or tranny or 2 im still gonna fix and keep it, even though i know the tranny would go and not the motor:) so bulletproof, might boost it or build it NA soon

Gas where I am is pricy, Touareg does require premium gas and mine is a V6, V8 is very similar in gas consumption to the V6, V8 has more power but needs more maintenance.

Our current premium is around $2.35/L at the moment. $1.33 was years ago.

Most countries show the RON value which is 4-6 units higher than what is shown in Canada and US they use the AKI value.

Different tire size not a good idea. Especially for the AWD system and the transfer case.

For a Touareg that would be a $300 fill up. Which would be close to a $1/km of driving.

Thinking thats 91 octane usually use 98 i yhink if go further and better on 98 but the price is crazy

@@theworldrecipebook Most Canadian pumps offer 87, 89 and 91 octane, some select few offer 94. Unless going to a pump that sells race gas 98 is not found elsewhere.

Diesel cars in North America are not very common. I wish my Touareg was a 3.0L V6 TDI. My 6.0L V12 SL600 is about the same on gas as the Touareg. The Chevrolet Silverado pickup with a 5.3L V8 is better on gas than the Touareg but it's also lighter. Touareg is 2500kg. Pozdrav iz Kanade citavoj bivsoj Jugi!

@@midealautoclub I know that in America they drive mostly gasoline, it's a habit jet fuel used to be much cheaper. But in the Balkans, the situation is sad. Fuel is 1.40 liters. and a salary of 400 euros per month. The fuel menu costs 100 euros a month. which is a lot. And another thing, why would I even if I had money pay more for fuel like I don’t have to. diesel is the best thing for us. First, fuel consumption is twice as low. I have a V12 SL 600 and it's better than the Touareg
