Here in Europe the Car was selled with the same engines but we had this 5.0 V10 TDI 750.0 Nm (553 ft·lb) @ 2000 rpm with 313hp and the Touareg R50 with 350hp and also the Touareg W12 with 450 hp. There was also the 3.0 tdi with 500NM and 240 hp !

My friend used to have one of these, it was a really nice car. But I think he had the diesel version. It was a really nice car to be in and very quiet and refined. He upgraded to an Audi Q7 3.2 Diesel though, unfortunately. This is a much nicer car in my opinion. :P

about the people talking about the new Toyota corollas, drove for 2 hrs on the freeway and saw at least 4 of them on the side of the road. Might have been Camry's though i dont remeber, but they still look like nice cars.

Just a few weeks ago I saw some people with a Touareg and they were having problems getting the rear hatch open. It was kind of comical because they tried everything to get that thing open from both the inside and out but it was stuck shut. I wonder how reliable these things are. I don't really pay much attention to Volkswagens.

@yamahonkawazuki Yes. No electrical problems other than a bulb going out (which is inevitable anyways) on my 2007 GTI.

Interesting to observ every single Touareg I've to this day was being driven up to its limit in a point you could hear their engines yelling in a hurtful way. I havent seen these vehicles in their late life to realize their reliability. Still, never fell in love with that SUV. It lacks soul and spirit in its design. I dont know. It's like its missing its role within all other SUVs. Thanks for sharing, Kyle.

I remember as a kid quite some time ago I went to summer camp and we were driven around in a probably late 50" VW bus. I loved that vehicle. I remember it had on the roof above some kind of ventilation system, as the bus was driven fresh air was blown throughout the bus.

In Europe the Touareg was also available with a 313hp V10 diesel and 450hp W12 engine. Nice cars, but if something goes wrong you'd better have a rich uncle to help you pay the repair bills.

@gobeavers135246 Shifting the gears in park is not bad, you're supposed to shift while in park. Doing it while driving might be lol. Revving the engine in park won't affect anything really if the engine is warm and you don't over-do it. A lot of people think turning the steering wheel while in park is bad for the power steering pump but that is only the case really in older cars. The only damage really is that it may cause tire wear, so I wouldn't recommend it.

The vehicle is named after a western-Saharan nomadic tribe, which has a tough, sometimes wild, bellicose reputation. It properly pronounced as 'two-ah-rag'.

Nice clean vehicle, looks well cared for. BUT Volkswagens don't have the best reliability record. Actually quite bad. Expensive to fix but then again what vehicle isn't. Great video as always.
